Excellent article ZACH, thank you

I love Heinz Field. I hope the name never changes but some day it will due to money hungry. I really liked the ketchup bottle pouring red ketchup when the STEELERS GOT INTO THE "RED" ZONE.!!!

I blinked and 21 years flew by. **** I better try not to blink again.

Aint that the truth!

I was able to sneak into the stadium when it was fully built and no turf on the field. I was doing IT work at the Klett Rooney Law Firm and drove a green Ford Explorer at the time. I pulled up to the stadium and saw a **** load of Explorers so I just parked with them. Waltzed up to the stadium wearing Khakis and a polo shirt like I was supposed to be there. No one questioned me. It was pretty damn cool.

I've got the front page of an original blue print (from an electronics company that did the work). It's pretty kewl beans and With this 21 year reminder I'm going to dig it out and frame it full page. The page depicts the overall view of finish stadium in blueprint quality.

Heinz Field is decent, I suppose. And a Happy Birthday to the stadium

...but.. . . I miss TRS.

I miss the smell of TRS. It reeked of stale Iron City beer with faint whiffs of cigar smoke and of course, winning.

i dont miss the damn baseball diamond where turf is supposed to be and I'm not one to stand shoulder to shoulder pissing into a cow trough.

It's hard to believe Heinz Field is 21 years old already. They've done a great job maintaining it and modernizing the stadium through time. While I'm happy (in a way) they filled in the lower bowl, I also miss the end zone plaza and grand entrance feel into the stadium. It's a lot more sterile now with the club entrance and the dark hallway you walk into now. The place was built for football and ranks well against its peers.
