Special Treatment for Tom Brady Continues...

The first thing I would do when the schedule came out is (after viewing PS schedule) was to check the Pat's bye week. It always seemed to be very favorable except one or two occasions. I forgot to check Tampa's last night, I should have known. I wonder if part of the data that the NFL enters into the computer's schedue program is Tom Brady, week 8 or later.

Yup. Love the nfl. This crap won't stop until the current owner's clique is done. So, maybe never or so.

Definately a "FLAWED" system. The bye weeks should be on a scheduled rotation ensuring fairness through out the league.

It a miracle when you look at stregnth of schedule at this time of year. For the last 20years I'd say the CHEATRIOTS have Averaged bottom 10 somewhere whereas the STEELERS have averaged top 10 somewhere in toughness. Go figure

EDIT: Add to that the CHEATRIOTS 20 year average division for stregnth I'd venture to say last in the AFC whereas the STEELERS division would be #1 possibly #2 in toughest in AFC.

As was pointed out somewhat cruelly in Coaches thread, a team has no control over it's "strength of schedule". The schedule is predominantly based on where you ranked in your division at the end of the previous year and that does not necessarily have any bearing on how the teams you are matched with will do the FOLLOWING year.

Ravens have the fewest travel miles, 5 prime time and don’t play any team coming off of a bye. All that for Jackson? Can’t wait til he splats like a bug on a windshield. Here is to the Browns or JJ Watt killing him!

I didn't think so for the reason that the Patsies always have a 1st place schedule. Turns out that my suspicion was generally correct, though over the past 5 years, their schedule has been pretty weak.

2019 - 24 (meaning 23 teams had a tougher schedule) Steelers 19
2018 - 17 (Steelers 6)
2017 - 24 (Steelers 18)
2016 - 23 (Steelers 4)
2015 - 17 (Steelers toughest in NFL that year)
2014 - 4 (Steelers 29)
2013 - 10 (Steelers 32, easiest in NFL)
2012 - 20 (Steelers 19)
2011 - 15 (Steelers 26)
2010 - 5 (Steelers 7)
2009 - 4 (Steelers 22)
2008 - 28 (Steelers 2)
2007 - 8 (Steelers 24)
2006 - 4 (Steelers 13)
2005 - 6 (Steelers 2)
2004 - 1 (Steelers 10)
2003 - 10 (Steelers 21)

No results on that site earlier than 2003. The data show that in fact, the Patsies have had some tough schedules over the years, with 5 in the top 5 in difficulty, but their schedules over the past five years have been pretty cake.

Add in their weak division but that is a surprising compilation you've put together, thanks

I read though the Bucs have the most short weeks before games played. That is not good for Tommy Boy at his age.

I curious as to his "on field" preferential treatment............ Will the "rog" pull that and tell the officiating crews to give it to him "rough" ?

Arians will get him killed in the pocket. Ain't worried about this old man in another conference. Father Time will strike him down.

I was hoping it would be the "ANGEL" of the

You bring up a good point - isn't Tommy so old that he is considered at-risk for the Chinese flu? I guess all his games will need to be played indoors.
