Nice summation. A couple other players to look out for are Cavon Walker, Leo Lewis and James Pierre. Lewis was a nice find from the UDFA list. I also think Alex Myers may show some things. And no I’m not pimping Coolie’s players, he just caught my eye on the Houston film I watched. Fresno St game in particular.

Looks good. Just not so sure about Carlos Davis...but we will see.
 
Davis doesn't have enough led in his pants to eliminate BigDan from the roster. If he makes the roster ( I doubt it) it would be as a DE not a NT. Just not the strength of his skillset. I could see an extra O-lineman over keeping Cain or Switz. I know the popular thought is Duck loses a roster spot, we'll see.

How about Buggs taking Big Dan's spot, or is Buggs just playing a 3-technique solely?

I think Buggs is mostly a 3 tech penetrating type.. I am sure they have them learn the different positions mind you, but yeah some just aren't good fits.

I am thinking Alualu might be a good fit. He seems to have a good base. Perhaps still not the ideal NT...but **** the Steelers have been throwing players in who haven't been the ideal fit. I might rotate him with BigDan .It isn't like they don't have the bodies at DE to fill in. They have Worm and Buggs.

Davis has the body type he just shows you size can be deceiving., maybe he can develop in that area? I just see him starting it as a PS player.
 
Lol everybody thinks everybody is better than McCullers, including the 7th round guy. Steelers let hargrave walk, don't draft a true NT. With the amount the Steelers play in base D, they are obviously satisfied with what McCullers brings to the position.

Also Remeber they are using the 2DL more and more so the "NT" seems to be a less & LESSER position on this team. I'm thinking the STEELERS, more importantly Coach Tomlin doesn't value that position as it doesn't fit his Defensive philosophy. Can't complain when they are top 10 or better even if we are O'ld school.

I think BigDan improved. Not a star sure but a bit player that you can NT throw in there and not have to worry that he will be a run liability. Not sure we can expect more or less.

I can see Ola Adeniyi not making the team, he is always nicked up. So he better stay healthy during training camp.
 
Switzer offers absolutely nothing has shows nothing as returning, I rather see mcfarland and jounson as the 2 KR and mcfarland or Jonson Whyte as PR
 
swap whyte over Switzer Washington is a better slot WR and with Claypool you can create mismatches by putting johnson or ebron in the slot. Don't care if ben likes Switzer but he sucks, keeping him would be like for several years we kept dhb because somehow mt taught he wasa great gunner. he was useless as a wr should of been used more for jet reverses
