Report: failed draft trade to get a 5th

this was mentioned by Dulac in his Q and A chat on the post gazette,

Hugh DeMann: Sounds like they were so enamored with Claypool, they never considered trading down out of 49 to get an extra pick?
Gerry Dulac: That is correct. But they tried to trade into the fifth round.

Anyone have other information?

Was this swap players, a trade back, use future picks, where they targeting a specific player?

notibale players in the 5th:

Fromm QB
Robinson S
Hudson ILB/S
Anae OLB
 
Wouldn't surprise me if they tried to trade a 2021 4th round for a 2020 5th, since they know they will get a comp 4th for Hargrave.

anae after getting Highsmith? makes zero sense
 
If they had traded down a few spots they could have made this happen easily. Wish they would do more of this when there isn't a for sure pick they are taking.

You still need a trade partner and I think Claypool was probably the last receiver they liked in the second round.

Who did the Steelers want to target in the 5th? Probably Antoine Brooks ;)

The author, probably didn't go into research what other players might of been of interest besides the ones I listed.

They didn't even follow through asking Dulac, or any others in the press, where as I asked Dulac, and his response was that, "Not for a particular player, just to be a able to get a pick in the fifth round, which they didn't have"

Thank God this isn't a pay site... and here I thought I found a great legit steeler site with good reports....just a hoax site...

You read the OP right?

Then take a look at the article...

I don't mind they took from this post, but the thing is follow through with the story.

Just lazy reporting, I at least I twittered Dulac & Lolley.

I posted this here and on other steeler forums and the posters had more input than that author did.

would of loved Hudson who was a beast playing both olb and s as the viper in don browns D would of like if we got fromm as well as I think he has potential to be a dalton like like QB smart quick release nothing fancy but has all the intangles.
