I'm confused here. Someone help me out

So our first pick would have been #18 in round one. Why do we get the #17 pick in round 2? Am I missing something?

Would have been #19 in round 3? (Denver's pick they got from us for Bush)

We're #18 in round 4 & 7 (Which I understand)

We're #17 in Rd 5, but that makes sense since the Cardinals used their 5th rd pick in the supplemental draft.

19th in the 6th round?

Right now, only 1, 4, 5, and 7 make sense

2, 3, and 6 I'm confused.

I'd assume we're drafting 18 at worst every round, unless a pick is used ahead of us in the previous supplemental draft, or someone lost draft picks

We must have tied with the cowboys so we flip flop with them each round. I want to say a coin flip determines who gets to draft first in the first round then it switches each round after.

Teams are not always the same exact pick in each round. Whenever you have teams that are tied for record and they use tiebreakers to determine the draft order, they will then reverse that for the next round. So, If Den, Sea, and Pit all had the same record and tiebreakers made the first round Pit, Den, Sea, then in round 2, the order may be Den, Sea, Pit, then in round 3 it may be Sea, Pit, Den.

i don’t know the exact formula but I believe that’s how it works.
