After reviewing the running backs, I picked the one who I think would be best for the

There has been plenty of commentary on the rambling banana land of Coach speak, so no need to repeat it. However, this “formula” Coach speaks of....interesting.

Based on what he’s seen in games. How many “games” has Coach watched for Taylor, Dobbins, Akers, CED or even Darrington? Over/Under pretty easy to guess based on his next criteria.

Highlight clips from the web. Next to 40 times, Coach’s primary measuring stick. These “clips” are pretty much useless in any evaluator’s summation of a player. Clips are edited, with mostly duplicated screenshots of gameplay. True evaluators and scouts review game tape, preferably All 22 game tape, which all schools have, and allows review of the entire play. Did the player make the correct read, block the right man, hit the right gap, run the right route, see the protection...and hundreds of other minutiae that coaches look at as fundamentals in a player’s performance.

Historical data (stats) is fine but how you use them makes them useless as you frequently cherry pick stat categories and do not elaborate on the summaries of statistical analysis. For instance what is your summary of “level of competition “? How does your formula encapsulate the differences in conferences with/without conference championships?

Combine, and campus workouts. Yes, your record of idiocy is well documented with these tools. Tell us this, how do you evaluate between a player who performs at the combine than one who doesn’t? Short answer, you can’t. You can only evaluate the one who does perform. Plain and simple. You can’t compare when there is only one set of data. Statistics 101. Then again, you have been known to make up you own findings.

How can you postulate a formula that uses campus workouts, when none were performed? Why even list it? Most, if not all colleges cancelled their Pro days due to COVID-19. Was this listed to show validation in your opinion? If so, it actually devalued it because most here on this board knows there weren’t any Pro days...hence you can’t factor in what Taylor or Dobbins, Akers, CED or Darrington would have shown had they.

So to recap:

* Games watched - all speculation with no validation of said evaluation.
* YouTube clips/web - entertainment value is high, evaluation method is low (useless).
* Statistics - cherry picking data to fit an opinion rather than using all relevant data in proving a hypothesis.
* Combine/Pro days - workouts in shorts, not practice. Raw data without assessment. Pro days? There weren’t any so why even mention it as a part of your formula?

So basically...you like Taylor. Fine. But as to why he is first on your list? Please spare us your attempt at trying to be like TMC as a player evaluator. Because you are as close to him as a ant is to a human.

Oh before you reply, the one time you say you predicted better than TMC (Rivers) doesn’t make up for the many dozens of times he showed your ignorance for all to see.

Not that Rivers has been the poster-boy of success. Both Eli and Ben arguably accomplished more where it matters.

TMC is the elite of fan draft evaluators. regardless of right or wrong no other put in his amount of work.

Cooch is the exact opposite. There might not be a fan in the history of fans that put in less work. Lazy and unintelligent babble is what we get from him and that is putting it nicely.

TMC rocked it, coach micro sand kernel (EDIT: and that sand kernel is broken and chipped down to even only a part micro-sand kernel)..... it !!!!!!!

Oh and don't forget we have a board member MTC who knows to look for the BEACON to find the BACON. !

I miss TMC around here. You’re correct Slash, he was top notch and he did put in an enormous amount of time into his evaluations. I wish he would come back to us.

TMC put in a good effort, but accuracy on forecasting was not his forte. Why won't the guy come back?

Coach, I'm sorry to break this to you but you were NOT the first to pimp TJ WATT. Hell before you were pimping slash told me about him and I did some footwork and the more I saw the more I liked the kid. Even I pimped before you did due to slash's information. My story is the same as 1/2 the board as we all got it from slash and NOT you.

I am continuously on this board usually three different times a day and believe me I see a lot of things and who says what & when. I don't care what you think of my credibility but I do know slash's knowledge / perspective / humbleness / personalbility / honesty / others including CREDIBILITY far far far far blow your's away.

Coach, there is hope for you as you could GAIN respect and credibility if you would JUST admit to being wrong once in awhile or try something new and each time you are wrong, just admit it and move one. HELL I'd respect you a LOT more even if you were wron 70% of time. Integrity isn't a bad thing.

BS. How do you know this? Because Slash told you? What a joke. Slash doesn't remember what I say half the time. I think I was clear on liking Watt for our #1 pick that year first. Others may have liked to him, but I didn't see them doing a mock draft with Watt first. I did. I also gave a full scouting review of the guy, and a Burns. Double bullseyes on both for me.

This board cracks me up. If only this board had a more extended history archive, I could have a field day once per week on what others said and contrast it with what I said with hindsight being the judge. OUCH, that would leave a mark on some of you.

I don't care who thinks what about anyone here. Slash is a low IQ angry type.

You are joking right? This is parody? No one can be this self unaware.

Bawhaaha. TMC thought Rivers was a bust and would be out off football soon. I felt they guy had a lot to talent. Who was right?

TMC ran circles around you. You are the polar opposite. He was good at talent eval, you suck at it.

TMC didn't like his throwing motion, said he wouldn't win anything in the NFL. He has had talent around him year after year and has never been to a super bowl...

but keep clinging to ONE player TMC didn't like as if it's easy to forecast the future of ANY draft prospect with any REAL accuracy.

Lets not forget, Troy Polamalu was a bust because his head was too big. You will NEVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER, EVER....................live that down tool.

Got sick of you following him around like a bad smell trying to undermine everything he said probably. After all these years your opinion still holds little to no value.

Other than for amusement, laughing at you not with you.

What did you win for being right about Rivers Coach? Great job, he's the 3rd best QB in that draft class. I picked Watt in my mock before you and you act like you're the first? Like it freakin means something?? I don't need to crow for being right, because we have a HOF potential talent at OLB now.

Being right means nothing, especially when our top draft analyst, who spent 5-8hrs a day researching players, and doing an entire 300+ page draft synopsis for all the players in the upcoming drafts. Multiple years in a row. And you....have an opinion... I'd rather have him back over these draft posers any day of the week.

You want to know true analysis Coach? It's looking at late round talent and knowing they can play the game. Like 2 years ago when I'm pimping Auden Tate who went in the 7th to Cincy, and I called him a player. He's still on their roster, he's developing, and he's gaining playing time.. That's analysis. Not shooting fish in a barrel when you're making knee jerk reactions on first round consensus talent. Though missing out on a HOFer that we traded up for, calling him a bust because of .... head size???? Biggest miss in any draft evaluation for the poorest reason, that I have ever witnessed.

Please Coach, enough man. Admit your mistakes, take a joke, and laugh at yourself once in a while, and you might actually be liked on this site.

What a ******* MORON !!! I came late and missed the party but can see who got spanked.

Oh and just for the record......... I'd take slash / cope / Collie / Litos / Ike / BLITZ / Paul G /and many a many others evaluations and word of discussion over your "mecoachme" spew.

I've said it many a times Coach, If you could just admit wrong once in awhile, own up to a mistake or two, you'd be surprised at how well you'd be accepted by others. You do have some good points occasionally but they get lost in all your drivel of success,

damn you are so full of yourself

many here pimped Watt as a good fit, doesn't matter if they didn't do it in a mock draft, they still did it before you

many didn't like Burns before the draft and yes you were among them, but during his rookie season YOU posted how he was playing well and looked good so far. and NO I am not hunting that **** up again. I have shown it to you previously.

TMC put in a ton of work on his draft analysis and yes he did miss on a few, just like the idiots on TV and national sports sites who get paid for that ****....and he did it for FREE. He would still be here if not for fucktards like you who....

TMC was AWESOME and had enough patience to even teach me a few things. I'd ask his thoughts on occasion and he would answer in a very communicative way. His analysis was always very good. A member of this board who was appreciated by many. I thank him for all he contributed along the way.

Thius board is the GREATEST message board in the world, BAR none. EACH and everyone of us contribute in our own way and all those contributions are what makes this place so great. Granted some have more time and knowledge than others but small or big, we are all a part of it. Couple that in with the absolutely best MODERATORS and OWNER, WhoALa you have undeniable success.

Thank you to each and everyone of you from newbie to seasoned, yes iincluding even the difficult and the trolls.

I liked TMC, but damn he was definitely a narcissist. Could never admit when he was wrong and if you didn’t stroke his dick he got all pissy. I remember arguing about JJ Watt and he said he was nothing special and wouldn’t be a starter in the nfl. Obviously wrong and could not admit to it. But he has come back to tell everyone he was right about Dri Archer.

For me I could care less if he admitted he was wrong or was irritating during a debate. I had moments of that when I was younger probably some of that still float around in my bathtub. Imperfect as we are. I focused in on his main body of work and the value that represented which was second to none. I didn't always agree with him but that mattered not. I enjoyed reading his detailed draft analysis, and being a draftnick knowing what is out there on the market? I have found few to rival it. Not unlike any heated debate you have to let the small stuff go and not hold onto it. Most of us have an annoying quality or two. I will give you a metaphor. In the coding world you get to communicate with a Dr. more than you would in a normal short term inpatient stay. They are often tunnel visioned in their responses, go by the beat of their own drum, set in their ways and don't always conform necessarily to what I want or what the hospital wants in its entirety. But yet there they are specialist in their area of expertise. The hospitals focus in on their main attributes over their idiosyncrasies. It isn't like you are wanting a lesser experienced Dr. as a result. No they focus in on their value which obviously neither of us could bring to the table. **** I couldn't even play a Dr. on TV. I will take that 7 days a week and twice on Sundays over some idiotic chest thumping maroon that sees a ten second highlight film mixed in with Walterfootball's opinion, a 40 time and thinks he is some sort of great talent evaluator. Then comes back a year later incorrectly remembering **** as if his memory is a virtual coloring book made up in his bizarro world of a mind held together page by page with digested Elmer's glue.

Coach, Firstly, nice write up and I appreciate the effort and you make some good points. Secondly, stop taking yourself so seriously. It doesn't matter what ANY of us say on this board as we're all pulling information from the same sources. We all have opinions and it's FUN to spew them out there and have a laugh with the guys, argue and brow beat one another, and in the end we are just sharing in Steeler fellowship. If you make a mistake, admit it, laugh at yourself, and move on. Hell, I HATED the Big Ben draft pick. We had Tommy Gun and to me, it was a wasted pick. MAN WAS I WRONG! right? you're probably chuckling at me now while reading this. It's all in fun man. Think of this place as one large *** Steeler bar and by 6PM most of us are on our way to getting hammered for the evening.

I don't care who thinks what about anyone here.

If only some posters who post constantly and incessantly, with conviction that everyone is wrong when they are right, but don’t contribute one cent, would actually contribute to the board to help update and make it better for a phenomenal archive. Ironically, you would waste your token nickels and dimes to a Walter Football subscription, when buying their periodicals off the rack would suffice.

OUCH, that would leave a mark on you, as it would show you were wrong and helped pay for it.

Most don’t care what of you think either, so it’s no loss either way.

I remember that draft well Badcat. I wanted a corner, and since Hall and Robinson went right before us, I was hoping to grab Shaun Andrews. Really good player, but he was a headcase. I don't know if our medical staff would have done better with him, but nothing would have been better than picking Big Ben when we did.
