I honestly prefer the QB that has the 21/15 TD/Int ratio than one that has a 33/30 . That's a turnover machine that not even our new D could keep afloat.

Don;t need to be bringing in low class individuals like the rapist and crab thief. Tomlin has done a good job getting rid of malcontents no need to bring in one to be the heir apparent to Ben.

Could be an interesting and humbling situation for Jameis..... I am more curious about the Lasik surgery and whether that has been something that could affect his efficiency going forward.
Most teams spend a reasonable amount to keep a backup QB on staff that has a reasonable chance of success when the starter goes down.

We're gonna love him, if we can get him. I wouldn't put it past Colbert.

I really had problems supporting the stillers when they signed Vick. JW didn't do jail time, but the rape charges, the crab theft, etc., etc., not to mention the 33/30 - hard to support that. Plus, I don't think Lasik is gonna fix his problems - he just makes some damn, dumb decisions with the football.

I really hope the Steelers pass on Winston.

Why exactly? We all know that they 99.9999% will not acquire him though. Just curious why you would like us to pass on him.

Well the TDs are attractive but the plethora of INTs

not so much.

I can't speak for Steelin but his shaky past isn't great. His TDs / Int. Ratio was a little tilted, and to top I
T all off as he was leaving with the "CRABS" stuffed under his shirt he dropped a pack and didn't even bother to pick it up.......

That's enough for me to NOT want him but add in cap space and gauranteed money / time..........

NOW if by some weird *** circumstance he ends up a STEELERS, then I'd root for him to do the absolute bestesteverestest.!

First I question his Character. Secondly isnt he a "running" QB? Not the offense I enjoy watching. Smash mouth running, play-action and a passing game that loosens up when we've got them sucking wind for me please. Thrown in a trick play here and there and we're golden.

agreed. at least Ben never stole crabs right!!!!

I'd like to pass on him because he doesn't fit this system that Fichtner (whether you like them or not -- it's his) deploys, he's an INT machine, he had a QB friendly coach in Bruce Arians who was able to resurrect someone like Carson Palmer's career; and this guy still couldn't get it right.

Add in all the off-field issues from there, and you have a pretty solid case against.

If the money is right, I'd say maybe.

It's a concern that after 5 years in the league his numbers are on the decline, and those 30 picks are glaring.
Maybe it's the OL, but his QB rating last year was its lowest since his rookie season.

bad plays outnumber good ones. Stats of yards means nothing when you throw interceptions in the red zone

Do you guys remember that young punk named Ben who challenged his Coach, damn near killed himself on a bike, accused of rape? Ben matured and settled down. Jamis is in the same mold man and he needs to mature. He's MUCH better than Rudolf, Duck, or Lynch. Colbert is making all of these great acquisitions to get the team back into the hunt and it will all be for naught if Ben goes down for any lengthy stretch. Who knows, a year behind Ben and learning our system may be just what he needs, a fresh start.
