I admittedly didn't read the article yet (I will), but serious question: even If Ben did come back and light it up, would the national sports media actually give him his due? Or is he forever tainted goods?

He will never get the credit he deserves. Which is bullshit. The dude had completely turned his lifestyle around when many said it was just a show for Roger that wouldn't last. It's been 10 years.

And while I wasn't happy with the punishment handed down at the time, can we really argue with the results? That's certainly a hypothetical, but it seemed like he was going down the wrong road. That hair he was sporting at his press conference after the second accusation was cringe-inducing.

Definitely. To be honest, that's probably the image the media still sees in their heads which is why they hold back on giving him the credit he deserves. Maybe it will be different next year with him being the only real franchise QB left out of that draft class.
