I say no thanks! Too old and appearing more injury prone at this point in his career. Also, for him to straight out say bridge with BB is burnt, because he was a jerk. And, he questioned “who is this guy” because the “jerk” attitude he perceived from BB when he first arrived in Pittsburgh??? That “guy” was already a 2 time SB champion at that point! Further, in your rookie year, with an ancient Hines Ward, sophomore year Wallace, and 2 rookie WR’s (bABy and Sanders), as well as Spin Then Fall almost managed a third title against the great Aaron Rodgers... that’s who this guy is!!!

**** off Manny. Nice drop on that 2 point conversion against Baltimore. I guess that was Bens fault for hitting you right in the ******* numbers with the ball though.

By the way, let me just add something here. This whole "Young Money" crew bullshit is where things started going off the ******* rails with this team. It's not supposed to just be about the ******* money, you bunch of entitled spoiled ******* self absorbed me first douchehbags. It's supposed to be about winning Superbowls, it's supposed to be about football. It's supposed to be about team. I have no doubt Ben was a dickead for a good part of his early years. Let me say that again, zero doubt. I also know for a fact that he sure as **** isn't the only pro qb to be that way. He's the guy that decides if you get the ball or not, so even if he's a dick, ya gotta find a way to make sure you get the ball. So **** that whole young money crew, and that attitude, we'll be just fine moving forward with the current crop of guys we have.

Joe

Rodgers is a dick on the field! He’s been know to ignore wide open receivers, once he gets a bug up his ***, because of a drop or running a mildly flat route!

Ben may have had a “my shot don’t stink” attitude, but he still spread the ball around, with no seeming grudge for any particular player. In fact, I recall times he’d go right back to a guy after a drop, which would facilitate expression of confidence.

Not a fan of players talking out of school about other players who won't respond back. That said: I don't doubt the accuracy of his statement. In that period of time, I have no problem believing Ben was a dick. And if you think it would be hard to cover up, consider AB. Also, Sanders acknowledges that he needed to grow up too. Furthermore, I have always believed that Ben's lack of acknowledgement in awards (including team MVP) and things like that was at least partially because of his attitude when the cameras maybe weren't rolling. That said, I'm not a teenage girl with a fan crush. Ben has epitomized what I'm looking for in a QB on and off the field in terms of leadership for a long time. WTF do I care how he is among his teammates. Most say nothing but good things when the cameras are rolling.

TWO sides and manny "young money" HAS HIS. He came in a young man and rebelled against athority, BEN being the leader. ALL three of those azzhats had issues, wallace / sanders / brown (he just didn't show his due to his potential big contract and as soon as he got it.... ask dick L.)

I wouldn't want him back at all, not even for the vet experience to mentor the young-uns. He can go be great somewhere else.

Salute the nation

While I "get" your perception of it is NOT about the money, that is simply NOT so. It is about the money for many of these players and they have a very, very small window of opportunity to make that money. No one in a Forum can say it it about winning Super Bowls only and truly mean it. This is a job for these people....The NFL will cast them off to the scrap heap if they get hurt.

Not about the money? The NFL is a "Money Machine"....

Please always remember & don't ever forget: "IT IS ABOUT THE MONEY"

Yes, it is about the money...first. Doesn't mean guys don't want to win. Most of these guys want both and I don't blame them at all. Yep, there are a few fatcat outliers, but by and large, most guys want to win and make as much as they can while they are at it.

as to the OP, no, don't want Manny back at this stage.

If the only reason you do something is for the paycheck, you're a *****. Doesn't matter what it is. I have worked many jobs, and no matter what the pay, there are some things I would never take from someone else. And if I had the chance to play in the Superbowl for even a quarter I'd do it for free. I'll never know what that's like, neither will most of the population, but these guys have a chance at it, and don't respect it they way they should. So yeah, if it's all about the money, **** em.

At some point it has to be more than about money. They will never win a damn thing if that kind of attitude was prevalent throughout the team.

I don't have much empathy. Even punters will make millions in a career nowadays. You've hit the life lottery being able to play a ******* game and get paid stupid amounts of money. Don't be a dumbshit spending.

If they had half the brains as they do athletic talent they wouldn't be broke within 5 years of retirement. The smart money guys are set and the dumb money guys go bankrupt.

True. and I believe quite a few young receivers and even some older receivers who were perhaps juuuust a bit past their prime have Ben to thank for putting them in a very good position to MAKE THEM SOME MONEY!

- Emmanuel Sanders - Done gots PAID by the Broncos.

- Mike Wallace - Done gots PAID by Miami and then Baltimore.

- Cedrick Wilson - Done went from "Who's that guy?" to SB ring.

- Jesse James - Got himself a payday from the Lions, even if he didn't end up playing much.

- Plax Burress - Thank You NEW YORK!

- Antonio Brown - Technically the dude GOTS his contracs. He was just way too ******* stupid to actually secure the bag.

Steve of course they all want money but some people just like to win at everything it is a competitive nature. I would get mad as a kid when I would lose at anything. Yes some just are in it for the money and that is it. Some have a mixed bag with a desire to either be great or for the team to be great.

Sanders spent all summer running his mouth about Ben and Ben being a bad teammate throwing guys under the bus. Ben has never said a bad word about Sanders and Sanders can't help himself but to bring up Ben's name in a negative way every chance he gets. Dude needs to get over himself.

I never knew there was beef between Ben and Sandy. I'd love to have him back. His skillset is very much like Brown's.

Plus it sounds like they both matured.

Umm, Sanders can't stand Ben.

"I would love that," Sanders said, "but me and Ben don't have the best relationship. I believe that bridge is burnt."
