1st of the 2004 QB class to hang it up. Eli retires

Eli is the classic Hall of Fame bar topic. I mean, two epic runs, but a pretty mediocre career overall. I don't think yards are impressive anymore since the league practically mandates that week in and week out anymore. He is 12th all time in picks as well w/244, and 7th in TDs thrown with 366. Dude is an odd convo for sure.

Congrats to him and his story should be one that shows you just how special Ben Roethlisberger really is.

Jim Plunkett = ONLY 2 time winning SB QB to NOT be in the HOF

ELI Manning = to join Jim in his fame.

Salute the nation

He's also the only QB to win 4 playoff games, twice.

i think we both know he'll eventually be sporting a gold jacket, fair or not.

First of the 2004 QBs to retire? Wait a minute.....J.P Losman, Matt Schaub and Luke McCown are still in the league?

Eli Manning beat the Cheats not once, but twice. Give him the Nobel Prize for all I care.

Yeah-but he did beat the Patriots when it mattered

Very true, he made some big throws in those games, but let's not forget the Giants D held NE to 14 and 17 points in those games.

Time will tell and I'm just pointing out Plunkett but this article is kind of interesting.................................. ELI's rankings

AGREE with the Manning last name, might be enough to get him in.

My meaning was more based to BEN's greatness as opposed to either of the other two within.

Eli deserves the HOF. Just beating the Cheateroits***** should put the man in the HOF and Guinness book of world records. He's a 2 time SB champ and went through a few re-builds.

Always thought Ben would be first with the way he played the position and the beating he took early in his career...

Philip Rivers is not far behind in my opinion.

Sadly, I don't think Ben is far behind either. Coming off of a major elbow injury that required surgery at the age of 38 is not a recipe for a QB playing a lot more football. Elbow injuries are tricky. I am hopeful, but just have this gnawing feeling his comeback isn't gonna last real long.

I hope Eli gets in. And quick.
1. Ben walks in first ballot if Eli gets in. Based on W-L alone.
2. I am forever in debt to Eli. That would be 8 time SB Champion Tom Brady if not for Manning.
3. I like him better than his brother.

I mean Brady’s magic arm strength coming back at 37 or 38 was clearly chemically assisted... for the most part guys are done at 38....

first 2 I'm totally on board with...

3rd one---not so much..

Ben has a much higher comp%, TD%, and a lower INT% and has attempted 1,000 fewer passes, much higher QB rating. Ben is first ballot.

Ben is a 1st ballot HOFer. There should be no questions about it. Plus he'll probably add to his stats the next 2 years.
