The Steelers might have to get creative if they hope to find a way to keep Ryan Shazier around while leaving the door open for him to play again.

I love to hear he's making progress but Ryan Shazier will never play again at the NFL level. The Steelers need to quit feeding his hopes.

I wouldn't want to be the one to shoot his hopes and dreams down. See no reason to let him know now what he will eventually figure out. If he hasn't started to already.

I dont think they are feeding his Hope's. They are taking care of a guy who lost out about 50 million. More importantly they are giving him medical coverage and access to the best rehabilitation around. But hey that could be construed as cheating somehow. **** off NFL. Never mind the Pats and their never ending ****. Let's worry about the Steelers tolling a guy who was permanently injured playing football.

They are not utilizing a Lb coach right? I assume that Butler keeps helping with the lbs while Tomlin calls tge defense and they offer him the role for now... just a hunch...

Butler is the DC/OLB coach and Jerry O. is the ILB coach. They also have Austin as a special defensive assistant.

I love Shazier, but if what they are paying him is counting against the cap, they are stupid. The guy isn't going to play again, and if he could, doesn't mean he should. I get taking care of the guy, but do it as a coach or as an advisor or something.
