Ask Drunk Cope 12/30

I've been running all over the house today. We're expecting my wife's sister and her family after midnight. They're traveling up from Florida because their brother is getting married on Sunday. Gonna be a full house!

I remember hitting Ballast Point. I really liked Mother Earth brewery, and there were a few right next to it. Wavelength did good stuff. Though Legacy was meh.

Pizza Port was fun. Great pizza there!

Green Flash is good as well.

I'm pretty sure Green Flash went under somehow. They had a great IPA.

I think they are based in Whitsett, but I bought their stuff in Wake Forest, Raleigh and even out at Wrightsville Beach. They make several German style beers. I have tried the Hummingbird Hell as well as the Hopgarten Pils and they are excellent German Beers. If I’m not mistaken, the brew master is German. They sell their products at Lowe’s Foods, Publix and Harris Teeter in North Carolina. At least that is where I have found them.

Used to live in Youngsville. Sold my house in August. My job took me to Northern New York. Miss it like hell. To me, that’s home.

Strange thing, I've never ever - not even for a second - enjoyed or accepted what they've tried to do with beer. All the IPA's, craft beers, the friggin' fruity flavors, the chocolates, raspberries, vanillas, etc. I loathe the entire fancy beer movement from the bottom of my heart. Won't touch any of it.

Pour me a traditional pilsner draft beer with a solid head and stop with the experimenting and trying to be cute. Beer achieved perfection in the czech breweries some 175 years ago, stop ******* with it! :beers:
