First the JuJu piece now he spreads the Ben rumor around. Guess Dejan has to click bait subscriptions some how.

I'm afraid those that expect Ben to come back the way he was before are going to be sorely disappointed. I thought this team would be 9 - 7 with him before the defense took off.

Regardless of the validity of this report, who knows what to expect from Ben in 2020. I’d be very surprised if the Steelers don’t sign or trade for a veteran QB with starting experience.

That's just drama Ben talking. He has 3-4 years left. Next year will be rough because he will not have enough time to really prep but he will be fully back, probably better in 2 years.

not enough time to prep? this is ben we're talking about, not peyton manning. i seriously doubt that ben is putting in 14-hour days with the receivers in march and april before minicamp in any given year. he'll be fine, assuming his elbow has fully recovered.

There's no telling what could happen

Depends on why and where they are messing with the tendons. He has the best DRs so that certainly helps. The success rate for TJs if it is that is between 80 and 90 percent. Some other surgical procedures seem to be around 90 percent. I like those odds for a full recovery if I am a gambling man.

I’d worry more about Ben Roethlisberger’s mobility. It’s been “reported” he’s gained weight and likely so but h if he’s “fully committed” to return to the team in ‘20 I would expect the man to be participating in some form of training to insure his play skill set? Anyone who has seen him up close and personal knows Ben is a big boy, listed at 6’5”/ 240. I’m sure those are his digits when he entered the NFL draft and for a young athlete, that’s a big man. A man that size can carry 30-40 more pounds and take it off rather quickly but BB ain’t no youngster anymore. I hope he hasn’t lost his desire to keep himself fit and healthy; he’s going to need to be “hangry” come camp.

Give Big Ben some time. We will see around April how he is.

We desperately need improvement in WR consistency.

We need to improve the RB core. Connor is hurt too much to depend on.

Finally we need a dependable veteran back up QB. I doubt Eli Manning or Phil Rivers would come cheap and would cause too much controversary with BB returning. Besides they are the same draft class as him. We need a 28-30 yr old QB. Someone like A.J. McCarron who is a free agent in 2020.

Yeah, he looks pretty fat standing on the sidelines, but there's still time to get in shape.
My concern is that elbow. He injured it in a normal throwing motion, so what prevents that from happening again? When the injury heals, does the part affected heal stronger than before?

I think the team just needs to realize we don't need gunslinger Ben. He just needs to be accurate, don't turn the ball over and score more than 10 points. Having a solid defense changes how the offense has to play.

His age and the type of injury was pretty obvious that Ben played his last game.

Ron Cook just spoke with Ben last week about this, Ben said he's fully committed to coming back next season and is ahead of schedule

Yes, and this story was already debunked on another thread. But that won't stop the doom and gloom naysayers and concerned trolls from making this a 30 page thread with nonstop posts on how Ben has seen his last game.

I buying you all the beer you want when we meet, if this comes true!!!

there has to be doubt there that he heals properly and is able to throw a football. Until he gets clearance to throw, it's the great unknown if he can come back. We know he wants to, but whether he can is another story. Hope it's not Terry Bradshaw all over again. He is 37 y.o., too. Signing a vet QB is a must. McCarron would be a good, decent price tag option. I know what they say about Mason being Ben's heir apparent, but if he isn't, they need to be better prepared.

Per Holmes, Ben would work in the summer on their off time with the WRs. He was having Holmes run the exact route they scored on in the Super Bowl.

Or the bashers from blaming Ben for starting drama.
