Don't be surprised if our 2nd round pick is a running back.

Snell isn't it, and its clear Samules is a 3rd down back.

The guy I like a lot Travis Etienne from Clemson. Draft sites are underrated him, he'll rocket up the draft charts soon. I'd love to have him in round two. Super fast, yet has some moves and isn't easy to bring down. For two seasons he's averaged over 8 yards a carry.

Conner had his bite at the apple...ended up chipping a tooth. he needs to be put out to pasture.

I've been impressed with Whyte. With Conner, Samuels, Snell and Whyte currently on the roster, I seriously doubt we even draft a RB and if we do, it will be a very late round pick. We have much bigger needs. I'd say we need a good pass catching TE but we currently have 2 that are pretty darn good at catching the ball and we use them 90% for blocking and when we do send them out, it is for a screen dump off. I can't remember the last time we attempted a pass to a TE down the middle of the field.

Conner cannot be relied upon and Samuels is a waste of a roster spot. Seriously... I don't see what Samuels brings to the table. He's not a good runner, he's not good in pass pro, and he's supposed to be this great receiving threat but I've not seen anything out of him that is significantly better or different than any other back out of the backfield. I would definitely like to see the Steelers take a back in the draft. I like Dobbins out of Ohio State and he might be around when the Steelers pick.

Also, I like Whyte. He's the only back currently on the roster with a little burst. Conner, Samuels, and Snell all are basically the same guy. Bigger backs, one cut and get downhill guys... but none are a threat to be home run hitters. Whyte looks like he's always one block away from getting loose on a 40-50 yard run.

We need o-linemen. We're starting 3 guys who weren't seen as being worth a draft pick coming into the league. You can find a diamond in the rough occasionally, but you can't build your line around such an approach.

I don't get rid of Conner, but I do push him to backup duty. When his contract is up I probably don't resign.

I do want to say no matter what I will always love what the man is, what effort he brings. And what inspirational story he has.

I am replacing him as a starter only due to injury.

His body can't keep up with his heart and determination. He will alway hold a special place for me when thinking back of the who was who.

I think you have to take a baby approach with the O-line. Start with replacing the weakest link Foster. RT is high on the list as well. Probably can't replace two in one year with other needs. BUt you could do one of the two in free agency and follow that up with the other in season 2.

I would be very surprised, I rather they go the vet FA way. It's easier to find a proven commodity there and invest the 2nd round in Oline or TE which are more expensive in the FA market

I think the Steelers really need to start looking at replacing some guys on the O-line. Foster & Big Al are two guys working the blind side who are starting to show some holes. We can't have that with a aging veteran QB in Big Ben back there taking hits from the blind side.

I think Finney and Foster will be gone next year. Feiler will move to LG and Chuks to LT. We’ll probably draft another G/C in the 3rd or 4th then.

I would resign Finney and he is a Steeler fan at heart so I think he will be content with staying.

What round do we take an OC ?

If they don't resign Vannett the second round pick will likely be a TE or Guard.

I’ve said this all year.

Don’t mistake that I’m a fan of Conner. But in his sample size we’ve seen him being a physical running back and to take that many hits... the fact is even Jerome Bettis took fewer hits (naturally what made him an All-Time Great) because of his footwork.

I found myself (and I know I’m in a minority—perhaps the ONLY ONE) longing for L Bell yesterday and recently.

It’s so clear we MUST have a playmaker/game changer at RB (even when Ben returns).

I now hope we can find that RB (and given the nature of the position these days it’s very possible) in round 2

You & I must be seeing different games. Samuels is a jack of all trades back that many teams would love to have. He's also shifty in the open field and makes tacklers miss many times. I don't know the stats but I'd bet he's responsible for quite a few 3rd down conversions.

I've been saying it forever!

We need a #1 RB and a #1 WR and throw in a new TE too

All offense in the draft, we got one more year with Ben if we're lucky, don't blow it

Coaching wise, it is completely idiotic to not have a QB coach (should have had one since we drafted Dobbs) and an assistant in the booth for replays. Tomlin was supposed to do that this year but from what I've heard, that didn't happen. Both of those are easy calls and completely moronic not to have.

I'd rather draft offensive line. They could use an upgrade at left guard and right tackle. You can find plug and play starters in the second and third rounds for each spot.

But yesterday was again ridiculous and ****** exactly what I said going into that game. If they do not have a back with at least 20 carries, they get what they deserve. Their highest was Snell with 7. That game was never beyond running the ball. The most they were down after half was three till the very end. They passed 37 times. So if you believe in Whyte, then run the ****** guy. Don't put him in their for a 5 yard carry and pull him. And to be honest don't put him in at all. Give the guy you have thje most belief in after Conner the ball 20 times which is really Snell.
