I know this is not football related, but figured it would get more exposure on here. Has anyone received notice of the new seating license's yet? I have emailed twice now and they keep saying they are working on it, but just wanted to see if anyone has received offers.

**** the modern business model of PSLs. Greedy-*** ********. You'll never see me pay that. Won't drink at a bar with a cover charge either. Some **** just bugs me.

The original PSLs helped pay for the stadium. Why shouldn't the people in the stadium pay for the seats instead of sticking the general public with the tab?

Anyway, if someone wants to get seats there are tons of PSLs for sale listed not ehSteeler web site. The prices are pretty low at the moment. I know my seats would sell for half of what they did 3 years ago.

Originally October was the target date I was told. A recent update confirmed they were running a little bit behind but should be sending out the notices, "soon."

I'm with you on the end user paying. General tax burden shouldn't fall to the public. Actually, why the fluck does the public tax even have to be involved with a new stadium???? The NFL makes the money, they should have to build their vehicle of which their product is sold. A Plumber / electrician / HVAC contractor, doesn't get "TAX" assistance, when a expanded new truck is needed. It's part of the business, so why the heck does the NFL get tax assistance? Beyond me!!!!!!

When the Yankees opened their new stadium, the PSLs were $500,000. That might have been for more than one seat, but talk about pricing out the common man!

Agreed. There are plenty of studies that show that public stadium financing, except for a few exceptions, is largely a wash when it comes to economic development. Sports teams just suck up dollars from other forms of entertainment in the local area. I don't think the Rooney's have ever put out any of their own money when it comes to the stadiums. The even fought with the government about who was going to pay for the 3000 new seats.

I do believe the Rooneys put some of their own money to build Heinz Field. But yeah, sports teams threaten the city with the fact that some other city will build a stadium for them.

Although I'm not 100% certain I think Rooneys just put in the money they got from the PSLs. I may be mistaken.

I am against public funds for private business as stated above. If they move they move have fun with your relocation and try to establish a market. The gain in business is small for the local area and the costs associated with these events is high.

Through political approval, the NFL is classified as a not for profit organization.

Messed up is what that is .....................................

Only the offices in NYC. Not the teams themselves.

Regardless of how big or small, it is still messed up, a lot!!!!!

That is the WORST .. the profits they make are UNREAL !

The NFL is a trade organization to which the Pittsburgh Steelers and other teams belong. The teams make the profit. The controversy is overblown.

Yes but in NYC the mailman makes $300,000. It's all relative. :p

Not quite. Even if they did $500k on a salary of $300k is unaffordable for a PSL. They were selling to corps and the very rich.

No, the Steelers (Rooneys) were required to put in a certain $$ amount from the start. The Steelers do not own the Stadium. Allegheny Sports Authority basically owns it.

Just curious, why would you buy a PSL now when you can just buy tickets on Stubhub for around face value?
If the Steelers ever return to their pre 2011 form they'll cost more than face value. But yeah, right now it's one of the major reasons I am no longer interested in being a season ticket holder.

Exactly. from about 2006-2010 tickets could be sold above face value. We got about $450 for 2 seats for the home opener after the 2005 super bowl.
