It’s looking likely that 10-6 will be required to take the 6th seed Wild Card spot. One game at a time but it could come down to needing to win in Baltimore to make it in... [emoji38]

What are you basing that on, exactly? Tennessee is 7-5, and still has to play the Saints, and the Texans twice. The 6-6 Raiders are horrendous, and the Steelers have the tiebreaker with the 6-6 Colts.

9-7 could be enough assuming Tennessee drops 2 but they’re playing pretty solid football right now and I could see them winning 3 of 4...

You know what’s going to be tough... if the unlikeliest event of thae patsies losing in foxboro to the chiefs happens and the bills upset the ravens at home, then if they were to beat us they would have a matchup vs the patsies for the division lead and first round bye... there is an actual chance that us winning out will preserve the Pats top seed division leading status... blech!

9-7 can still get it done but a few teams do need a loss in their final 4 games - which is very possible. We MUST beat the Cards and the Jets led by Bell who is having probably his worst year as a pro. At this point, I still can't see us beating the Bills or the Rats. The Rats are now in a fight for homefield since the Cheats lost and will be playing their starters in the final game so that's definitely a loss.

**** the bills and rats

The Bills defense is very good, but their offense can be stopped.

the rats are beatable. slow down jackson and make him pass. Have Bush shadow his *** and crush him if he tries to run and force him to beat you throwing the ball and he will make mistakes

Bills have turned around their futility and actually destroyed the cowgirls on turkey day. I have to tell you Sean McDermott should be in the running for coach of the year. For how good you think our team has done this year their team has done better. Better O production, their D has surrendered less points per game. Not that the Steelers haven't improved. Good thing the Steelers will be at home for the matchup but regardless that will be a difficult win. It could very well decide the outcome of the season if the Steelers are pointed toward the playoffs or not. Hopefully my buddies will bring our team good luck as they will be up from Florida.

The Rats are an entirely different team than when we played them the 1st time. It's a rivalry game but in their house. I just can't see us beating them if they are playing their starters. Even the Bills look awesome. They have a good bit of talent on O but can be slowed down there. We would somehow need to be able to get at least 20 on their D, which will be tough to do.

Its 3 wins and in and every game is a playoff game. You need to play a solid road game next Sunday and take care of business. Then you need your triple A best game of the season for Buffalo. If you win those two the math will really kick in. You have head to head tie breaker vs. the Colts and a better AFC record then everyone. Take care of the Jets and you should be in at that point.

2 of the next 4 are against losing teams. Win those and 1 of the other 2 and we are in business. The Rats may also have that #1 seed locked up in Week 17 and choose not to play their starters.

We don't want to depend on that, as they could very well be on the outside looking in. They need to win the next three.

We need to win our games first. I am just pointing out that they may have that top seed locked in when we go there for week 17. If we haven't handled our business before then, we will be on the outside looking in.

This looks right to me. Faiders have fallen flat the last couple games, Colts are mediocre, Tennessee has a tougher schedule. I think 2 wins (Jets and AZ) and we sneak in with the last WC spot. We could even beat the Bills (in a 9-6 barnburner that will have the NFL very sorry it flexed the game to PT). Once in anything can happen but unless the Duck continues his upward trajectory and JJSS comes back strong I don't see our limited offense getting us very far in the tournament.

Bills are a good team but they have played the easiest schedule in the league and we are ranked 8th toughest currently.

There wins are against Jets, Giants, Cinci, Titans(Marriota at QB), Dolphins(twice), Redskins, Broncos, and Dallas.
Losses vs. Pats, Eagles, and Browns.
The farthest they traveled was to Dallas and Miami.. so that's a nice luxury as well.

OK. I think it's more likely that the Titans finish 9-7, or even 8-8. The Texans are getting healthy at the right time.

By the same token, the Steelers have been stacking wins against weak teams as well; the only team they've beaten with a winning record is the Rams.

Tomlin only needs to win one more game......
To be able to ride that “never had a losing season” BS

The 49ers did what the Clowns did, and the Steelers did - played a lot of zone, and made Jackson's passing a joke. The guy is the king of the one-look-and-run technique of "passing." **** him. He sucks a dog's dick.

If I coach against him, I pray he runs the RPO and goes to the run. I tell the ILBer on the side he is going to kill him, every time. If he wants to be a running back, **** him - hit him. Every time. Those plays where a DE stands there and is confused about whom to hit are asinine.

HIT THE GODDAMN QUARTERBACK.

Smash him 2-3 times in the 1st quarter and he is giving it to RB every play. Stuff him and their offense goes into the *******.

My point was if we played their schedule, we'd probably have a similar record.

I have been very critical of Tomlin in years past, but to understate what he has done this year is just ridiculous. Let's take a look, shall we?

Lose arguably the best WR in the game in the offseason. Lose a HOF QB in the 2nd game. Backup damn near beats the 10-2 49ers on their field, and would have done so but for a damn fumble and stupid defensive hold on 3rd and forever.

Lose the starting RB. Lose the new #1 WR. Replace the backup QB with the 3rd string, a rookie free agent from Samford. No, not Stanford - Samford. Lose starting C for 2-game suspension.

Despite that, go 7-2 in last 9 games and be in the playoff hunt.

What the hell deserves criticism in that scenario??

Damned common sense is back...

Fire Coach Tomlin!!!
