There is talk about trap game number two, which given the history could be valid. There is much being made about Tenn and it's winning record on Monday night at home. The Steelers are facing a road game and a bye following, which is a great distraction and could have guys looking forward to the trip home instead of the game. There is also the edge that Munch has who coached this team and was then replaced by another, Munch wants payback angle is in play. Not mentioned is the coach of the Tenn team the wiz who might want some payback as well and likely knows the steelers better than anyone they will face other than the coach of the cards.

Lots of angles and drama in this game even before it is played. In addition to the on the field issues such as penalties and turnovers there is a big chance for lots of mental games to be played as well. These may not just be played by coaches either. Lots of players given their ties to the other teams coaching staff might be second guessing themselves as well. The Steelers are likely going up against a desperate team on the road when many things indicate the titans might be playing one of their best games of the season.

Toss in the absence of leadership on the field due to some key injuries and playing with the bottom of some areas of the roster the Steelers are going up against a real challenge this week. This has major trap written all over it for as Coach MT says a myriad of reasons.

Seems like the Steelers have always had a helluva time winning in TN. If we win this game, I will be pleasantly surprised

I would hope they would rebound from lackluster /but anything is possible with this team.

Not sure "trap game" is the right term. That is usually saved for a creampuff team that is played the week before a rivalry or big game. Now "letdown game," yeah, they've had a few of those in recent years and are set up for another this week.

Maybe we just need to combine creampuff and trap and be all set for another CRAP game this week, going into the bye on a loosing streak would not be out of the question.

funny just how appropriate such a combination of two words can be :D

I will actually be mildly surprised if the Steelers win.

Im expecting a win...we havent lost consecutive games this year....

"Trap game"? "Letdown game"? I'll be shocked if we win. That doesn't qualify

BigApple's 2014 record while in attendance?

0-2 (@Baltimore & @Jets)

Got tickets for the last game of the season also...

May just need to sit my *** at home:confused:

I'm taking the steelers, may not kick @ss as in the two majic weeks, but do finish higher on the score board. There will be "moments" in the game, but in the end, STEELERS win.

Salute the nation

Cold weather = pound the ******* rock. Gotta end my away game losing streak...

There is no reason to not pound the ****. They are starting a third string 6th round rookie QB, a rookie RB who's highest output is 61 yards, and they'll probably be without McCluster. To add to that; their starting LT Roos is out, their starting SS Pollard is out, and their starting TE Stevens is out. This shouldn't even be a close game.

I think one of two things happen. Either we are motivated to play and drop kick them. Or we get out coached and Whiz shows Tomlin who should have got the Steelers head coaching job.

so you're saying this will come down to either a long FG to avoid OT or it will be an OT game?

That's been eight years ago, you think this game will prove the STEELERS made a wrong choice, between these two???? Drop kick that fallacy, then the STEELERS drop kick the ****!!!!

ughhhh....you're absolutely right, and it kills me, because it just WREAKS of the perfect stage for some no-name schmucks on Tennessee's roster to "break out" and have the entire sports world abuzz on Tuesday morning about such-and-such RB, TE, WR or whoever from the Titans, and how that guy/those guys, "made their mark" in the league with a "statement win in primetime against the Steelers".

I was thinking the same thing about a bunch of no-name players that there is no film on breaking out this game.

30 pts....thats all it takes to win this game....

A dose of LeVean/Blount, throw in some Heath, and kill em with Antonio.........lay em to rest with Martavis.

But ill bet money we DONT score on the first two drives, and we trail at least 1.5 quarters. But in the end, we run away 31-17 (21pt 2nd half explosion)

Is Troy and Jarvis comin back this game ?

I believe in his Tuesday presser Shades said that Troy and Jarvis will be out.

Bad team with a bad overall record playing at home on a Monday night when they have a great record against a team that has a poor record when they play bad teams. We're gonna get our ***** kicked and be wishing the NFL had a 35 point mercy rule like high school ball does.
