Red Zone inefficiency...0 for 3. This is a stark contrast to the previous weeks when when we killed it inside the 15 yard line. When you cant capitalize on scoring opportunities in close, its difficult to win.

Turnovers--****** no-brainer here............Ben had played mistake free for the greater part of the season only amassing three INTs all season up until today. One of which was in the red zone............bottom line, he just forced it today and he paid and as a result WE PAID with this loss

Brown is the teams MVP and a candidate for league MVP but he stunk...he never coughs it up....I doubt we ever see this type of game from Antonio again anytime soon.

Altogether four turnovers will doom a team..i dont care who you are, who your QB is or whom is coachin. We self destructed today and refused to take a game that the Jets wanted to leave on the table.

We have now, a defense that cant stop the run--- gettin gashed nearly 6 yrds a pop...and its the left side that teams do their damage. I dont see that being fixed soon so, until then we have to rely on our offense to pull us through and even if by chance we made the playoffs it would be a short lived one. We cant rely on this offense to string together necessary drives to stem the bleeding of our defensive unit.

When are we going to consistently involve our TE in the passing game ? Three targets to the TE is ridiculous. The more distribution the more effective we can be. Ben is locking in on folks to the detriment of the team and guys are wide open in the flats for moderate gain opportunities. Seems we went out patterns the last couple games then suddenly we wanted over the top **** into double/triple coverage.........Hes gotta be a smarter quarterback and use the entire field.

We had nearly a 3-1 ratio in passing yardage. But the NYJ didnt have to pass (their achilles) because Vick killed us with his legs This game was very winnable but we beat ourselves in every way possible

This game was winnable until the last 4 minutes....disappointed but im not suicidal...not surprised by the result. But even if coaching is the problem, shouldnt our QB and the talent be able to overcome ? Its the Jets.....they nearly laid down the second half and we still couldnt get out of our own way.

Theres a lotta coach pissin and moanin but the field is where im concerned. We have players on this team....we just dont have the leadership,i guess

We came out flat and unprepared, Percy Harvin is on the field and we looked like we never saw a reverse before, we gave cushions and easy throws to a QB that can't read a defense.

The Jets have a good front 7, we haven't been able to run to well the last few weeks, Ben and Brown are on fire, the Jets have ****** secondary. So you would think you would want to spread them out and get some of their front seven off the field and throw at them. Hell no let's establish a run game, then get forced into 3rd and longs vs a blitzing team. ******* Brilliant!

For someone who doesn't care as you stated in The other thread, you sure went to a lot of trouble .

What a derby downer post.

Everything is awesome, so they had a bad game, happens to everybody . Just because it happens to the steelers 3-5 times a year means nothing.

They will pound the Titans and get back to scoring 50 .

How dare you question the defense, they are all hall of famers .

Steelers 348

Titans -5

We went back to the old game plan of horizontal passing and not down field. Ben was 8 - 10 for 24 yards at one. Point. Bubble screen anyone. Worst passing d and we go away from what worked for the last 3 weeks. Also fg on 4th and 2 and then again on the next possession as not playing to win

It's almost like they were trying to lose

Oh I'm on that side of the coin, I just poke at the retards who wear such black and gold colored glasses that they are blinded by how bad this team really is.

Next week will result in the same beat down they got today. They aren't interested in playing bad teams. They only want to play against good ones .

THAT reflects on the coaching staff.

The rest is blather meant to obfuscate the real problems on the team.

This guy fumbled, that guy threw a pic. ALL of that is due to uninterested play and players.

We all know how good they can play, the fact that they don't is the ONLY thing that needs "fixed"

It drives me crazy that anyone with a brain would not spread this team out and throw on them.

So what will be your excuse when we win next week? Coach got lucky? If you think we suck so bad why do you keep watching?

AB being on vacation is why we lost... two hugely negative plays and no positive plays....

And I thought the pass to James Harrison was a ******* brilliant call.

I mean, nobody would ever expect you to use an old OLB on offense in a desperation moment when you have so many talented weapons you could target instead.

nothing short of bone dumb

really the gameplan sucked

if they would have just tried to attack their weakness instead of showing everyone how smart they were, I feel strongly the Steelers would have won.

No way no way this club should miss the playoffs. They showed the NFL what they are capable of.

Anything less is underperforming and it should cost the head coach his job....................

That's just it, they don't suck. The last two weeks are what they are capable of.

Playing to your potential is something I believe is the coaches job. Getting them prepared and getting them to play to their potential is coaching.

Since I believe the last two weeks should be the standard, it is infuriating to see them lay down to bum teams.

I don't understand why we are down by three scores, and are not in the no huddle. Time management sucked........again.

Sounds like poor coaching. Lack of preparation and planning. Football 101.

Our 2 best players, Ben and Brown, had 2 TO's a piece and looked terrible for most of the game. You're not going to win a lot of games when this is the case.

You guys can scapegoat whatever coach/owner you currently have had a hard on for, but every now and again your best players have games like this. You cant convince me that Ben needs to be 'coached up' to but smart with the ball, or that AB needs to be 'prepared' to not lose the ball, or that Suisham needs to be motivated to make a 15 yard FG. **** sometimes just happens- yet we've still won more than we've lost and are still in the thick of the playoff race. But I will let the chicken littles have their time in the sun...

True, we are still in the "PLAY OFF HUNT", but losing to bad teams can remove you from a lot of things and in a hurry. Game plan, crisper execution, emotional state, plain desire are all coachable aspects of the game. Not present to any extent yesterday. Same with coaching, not present to any extent yesterday.

Salute the nation

Does anyone disagree that this team cannot win without good/great performance from its best players? When one or both suck, we are in deep **** because we lack enough other talent to make up for it. If AB catches the ball or doesn't slow his route late in the 4th against TB, Steelers win that one. Not dissimilar here. Unfortunately, the rest of the roster isn't strong enough to overcome poor games by BB and AB.

THAT RIGHT THERE is what is wrong with Tomlin. THAT is his thinking (or out-thinking). No one would ever expect us to..... so there's your GAMEPLAN.

Glad to see a horrible loss has allowed us all to whine again... I think it had more to do with execution then the coaching, but both are at fault.

Was that really an offsides on the first onside kick? That was one of the few times all game that we actually executed a play well.

and on a side note, my fanduel account thanks Big Ben and Bryant for that 80 yard TD pass at the end becuase it saved my day...well that and Marshawn Lynch...

I think that's the case for most teams - if your star players suck, it reflects on the team as a whole.

Ben and Antonio had bad games.
I could almost forgive the first INT by Ben as him trying to force the ball into Bryant's hands, but the second INT was way off target.
Same can be said for Antonio's first fumble - he was in traffic trying to make the quick adjustment, but he should never have tried to field that punt on the run the way he did.

Play calling didn't help at all, but performances by the players was a true detriment to yesterday's game.
