If they release him I wouldn't mind a look. But he comes with baggage. They would need to have a talk to with him a sit down if you will.

Didn't the Pats place him on IR?
 
Seems like the Pats don't think the risk/reward ratio is good enough to keep him. Don't know if it's the injury or a combination of things, but I would pass, based on my limited knowledge of the situation.
 
The cheats dint get rid of someone they think will help them. There's a reason if they're letting him go.

There are also reports that he is close to returning. I read an article that stated he can sign with another team when healthy, he just can't play for the Pats again this season.
 
The Pats plan on releasing Gordon since they now have Sanu and rookie K'Neal Harry is just about ready to come off IR so no need for Gordon.

I think he would be worth a look. Hell, what can that hurt?
 
There's a guy here who says all the time "if my aunt had balls she'd be my uncle". Well I think it's time he checks and if positive,..... Bring her/him in for a look, can't hurt, wasn't used properly, look good in B &G, rookie salary................

drugs are bad mmkay. the only guy I was really pissed at for signing was vick. **** that guy. Gordon would be another one if signed.
 
He will be free to sign with any team off waivers and Steelers actually have a good chance to pick him up. Hell yes take a shot, he is big and still fast enough to take the top off a defense.

He has bone bruises to his knee so that should clear up quick. Its obvious JuJu cant carry the team alone.

I think the kid has got the 'drug part' solved, but the injuries are what make me 'pause'.

Defenses definitely won't leave him single covered (mostly) - so, with that, I vote 'yes' on bringing him in for a look-see...
 
lets see If Washington can finally show if not Monday and we get a average performance from Moncrief low risk high reward.

I think he would come cheap and if he doesn't work out you cut him.

.Could he be any worse than Mongrief at this point ?
 
You have a young QB. They are running the offense that way. Much the way the offense was run pre Ben and first year Ben. Adding receivers is not going to change that. I mean I guess they could draft a QB high in the first round next year. Oh wait.

First thing, u have to dump this fantasy dream that this year is salvageable, its not, this year is over, adding Gordon would be a move for next year when Ben is back.

Just like getting Minkah was for the future, what? U thought adding a safety was going to magically put us in the playoffs? Dreamers, lol
 
He would need to get with Le'Veon to find out his weed dealer's number locally before he would consider playing for us.

This just doesn't mesh with how the Steelers do business. It sounds good to us because he can be a play maker but I don't see it happening.

Steelers need to stop being so afraid of change, cut Moncrief.Simple, really. Sign Gordon.

Short term, long term, doesnt matter. We need more talent at WR

You honestly think I believe this year is salvageable? Rally. That is what you get from my post and the hundred before on this topic. I'm sorry, but I don't really view trading a high pick for a guy that will be going into the third year of his career or grabbing a burnout wide receiver is building for the future. Could they get one last gasp contention with Ben. Possibly. More likely they are going into full rebuild mode, hopefully with a new coach sooner than later.

Wouldn't that be worth it? I dont give a **** what he did in the past, I don't care how many dogs he killed or women he slapped around, just win, baby, lol
