College Football Week 7

Ohio State's schedule isn't that hard. Mostly because they play their difficult games at home. Please don't tell me this is a brutal schedule:

FAU- home
Cin- home
IND- away
Ohio- home
Neb- away
MSU- home
off
NW- away
Wis- HOME
MD- HOME
RUT- away
PSU- HOME
MiCH- away

So they play Michigan the last game of the year in Michigan. Other than that all their "difficult" games are at home. That means a lot in college football. Plus they don't play 2 hard back to back games all year until the last two games.

I'm not saying Bama's schedule is tough this year. It's not. But the SEC can have several teams that can make the playoffs where the Big 10 can't. The SEC will have Florida, LSU, Bama, Tenn, and Georgia that have a chance almost every year. Some years a couple of those will be down while the 2nd tier teams come up. Like a few years ago when Miss St., Ole Miss, and Ark were very good all at the same time. I don't see that from the big 10. You have OSU and maybe Michigan that have a chance. Nobody else does. Does anyone really think Penn St. is going to beat OSU on the road? Anyone think Harbaugh is going to beat OSU even in Ann Arbor?

Tennessee? You lost me with that one.

Tennessee? You lost me with that one.

A few years ago Tenn was a good team. They are down right now. But they are a huge school and they can come back. That's why I said "almost" every year. And some years those teams will be down.

Since 1997 when Michigan and Nebraska tied for the National Title there have been 5 SEC teams with national titles. OSU has won 2. No other big 10 school has even 1. In over 20 years not 1 big 10 school has won it. Even before 1997 you have to go 1986 to find another Big 10 team. And they weren't even in the big 10 at the time.

Tennessee:1
LSU: 2
Florida: 2
Auburn: 1
Bama: 5

Thank you for acknowledging that Bama's schedule is not that tought this year. That's the only point i'm making is that this built in benefit of the doubt Bama gets for playing an alleged tough SEC schedule should not be considered a carved in stone constant. Some years it is tough. This year it isn't.

You see Bermuda's post where he happily proves the SEC bias. Simply dismiss any non SEC team's schedule and assume every SEC team plays a near NFL caliber slate of challenges.

It should be noted SEC only has 8 conferences games while Big Ten plays 9. We saw with the Georgia loss how even conference games against inferior teams can be dangerous because conference teams know each other so well.

You want to pimp Bama. You want to pimp whoever wins the SEC, go right ahead. But save me the bullshit arguments that will soon start about putting 2 SEC teams in there because (insert non-SEC team here) played "nobody".

Notre Dame plays who? Ohio State plays how many top tier teams annually??? How about Penn State???

Don't insult us with your hate for the great SEC. We recruit better plain and simple. It's just hard for true 5 star players to start right away in the SEC, thus other kids moving to other conferences.

I hope Wisconsin makes it, as well as Oklahoma. Hell, put Ohio St in too... maybe that will end your crying???

To bad you won't acknowledge that the Big 10 almost never has a hard schedule. None of them outside of OSU has won a damn thing. OSU has one difficult game on the road... one. So please don't ***** if they lose a game and don't make the playoffs. This year the SEC has a lot of young players and may not be as good as years past. But that doesn't take anything away from years past.

Even this year LSU, Bama, Florida, Auburn and Georgia are very good teams. The big 10 still has OSU and I guess Wisconsin even though they haven't played anyone. Michigan got blasted last week and had to wake back up to beat Illinois (another horrible team).

So you can save me the bullshit about how good the Big 10 is and how they deserve to be in the playoff. If OSU doesn't go undefeated they have no business in the playoff system. Same with Wisconsin. Both of their schedules are laughable. I don't care if they play 9 conference games. That one conference game against Indiana, Rutgers, Illinois, Nebraska, or Purdue means dick.
