This might have just put the final nail in the coffin for the season. Rivers will be targeting Artie all night, it’s going to get ugly. It’ll be similar to last year with LBs on Allen.

The injuries finally caught up to us.

Going to be a challenge for sure, hope Artie is up to it.

I'm not going to stress over it, and just watch for enjoyments sake.
 
The coaches see alot more than we di obviously, but based on what we get to see you would think Cam Sutton would be the next man up at corner

I think they see Sutton as more as a dime, nickel package corner. He can play outside but I don't think they view him as a strength there. Here is where you hope Layne is ready in case he is needed. And have Fitz cheat over to where Allen is on the field....

Sutton doesn't play edge defender primarily...it's gonna be on Artie to stay focused. We have two good safeties backing him up and sufficient speed in the middle of the field.

IF THERE EVER WAS A TIME - Sunday night is when we play man-to-man defense all night. No need for zone because Rivers is smart enough to see that. Man defense well give the front 6/7 time to put Goofy on his back - a lot.

As I recall Nelson got picked on in the last game quite a bit..

Lol are you seriously saying Artie is a better option.. Nelson has been arguably our best CB.

Hayden is clearly the best... nelson has beennpretty good though... i have way more faith in our safeties this year so if burns starts and rivers targets him I feel like we may get a pick or two out of it

I just saw a report on ESPN that said statistically Nelson has been the 9th or 10th best CB in the league this year. They were saying he has been an excellent pick up.

I've been reading the same, and guys with good knowledge & resources of CB play saying the same thing.

No bueno.
 
The only list I've ever seen Coach on is for VIP night at The Blue Oyster Bar.

God I hope someone gets that reference or I'm really old & outta touch
