Some good games this weekend. Capped by the huge game Penn State at Iowa. Sure Texas vs Oklahoma is a nice distraction while the nation sits on the edge of their seat for the Penn State game.
Georgia getting all they can handle from South Carolina. Losing in the 4th
Oklahoma vs Texas is close. Texas might have a host if any of their WRs could catch.
Florida at LSU - I think LSU will win big. Florida hasn't faced a QB that can throw like Burrow
USC at Notre Dame - still don't know what to make of ND. They're pretty good but don't seem to have many playmakers.
10 Penn State at 17 Iowa 7:30 on ABC
It's a typical Iowa team. Tough and disciplined on defense and a grind it out offense that sometimes struggles to throw. Penn State has a bunch of offensive playmakers. Clifford has been good at QB and getting better.
Iowa will be the toughest run defense PSU has faced so far. Can they protect Clifford?
Penn State's defense has been outstanding. They have a ton of young athletes. There's no doubt they are much faster than Iowa but they are a big undersized on the DL. They have more penetrators than run stuffers. Will Iowa be able to grind out a run game?
I think Iowa will struggle to move the ball. I don't think their QB is that great. It's Clifford's first real road test. I think that the PSU playmakers will eventually break out on a few big plays. If PSU can get a lead and force Iowa to throw, that probably won't go well for Iowa.
If this game was home for PSU, i'd feel real good about it, but in Iowa with so many young players is concerning. They have been improving. Let's see how they react in a tough road game
