Dang, he broke Steve McNair's record and a few others. Liked that he seemed to play his best ball against the best competition in college. Go Duck!

Dang that was a good read, thanks DALE.

I'm on the "want Hodges to do so well they don't give Mason back his job for awhile" boat. I'm always for the underdog and Duck seems to be that role.

From the article: Tomlin "Obviously, he lacks a lot of experience in the things that go with experience"

I'm going to go ponder those words of wisdom for a few.

Hodges has to show his intangibles supercede his physical limitations.... Brees and Russel Wilson have done it... he doesn’t have their arm strength, though. He plays like a smaller favre or Ben, but if he plays instinctively and cannot see over the line, he is going to end up throwing picks to safeties camping on the inside stuff he loves... basically with the wr corps we have right now he is definitely going to have to be really good....

Hey just an FYI mods, I'm noticing a lot of members have zero rep power all of a sudden.

Keep it that way with Cooch though please, thanks.

He has a much better arm than Brees but you make great points about his size and the problems it causes.

Hodges definitely seems more fearless and not afraid to let it go, however I have a feeling that will lead to a lot of Ints coming up. At this point he has nothing to lose though and I hope he is able to sling it around.

His arm was ranked average to slightly above average by every single draft scouting service I saw when i was checking him out in the preseason. He has a quick release though... he isn’t great deep or to the outside... but he does play above his size and arm... its like juju plays faster than his forty

My fear is that he isn’t going to be great out of the box and the fanbase turns on him... i think at worse he is a legit guy who can start in a year or two ..... like a serious developmental asset .... I also think it can be real easy to screw him up or quit early on him if this goes south

I listened to Bubby Hodges speak on 93.7. Was waiting to hear him thank his sponsors first like he was a NASCAR racer

Some of the talking heads are calling him "duck dynasty", NOT because they know something but because they heard another talking head call him that. Sheep on the market.

if Mason can't go.

Not sure what you guys saw in Mason...He looked scared, Duck is so cool in the pocket...Hodges at this point blows his *** off the ******* field....

Mason has looked like a statue back there...Really, the guy has shown basically nothing so far. In one quarter of Ducky, I felt we had a QB who was prepared and ready for the nig stage. Mason hasn't shown that, or something that even resembles that

Let the duck chuck!

Let the duck chuck!

Let the duck chuck!

Hodges vs Georgia. Under constant pressure and still keeping cool and making plays

Hodges vs Florida State. Almost won. Under pressure again and WRs not doing him any favors. He forces a few throws but you can see his poise under pressure and his touch on the ball.

his WRs ******* sucked. Damn. He must have broken a lot of records prior to those Mongrief cousins scholarshipped.

I’m excited to see the Duck play. He’s fearless in the pocket and can make all the throws plus tuck it and take off.
I said in an earlier post this week that don’t let Samford fool you since that conference is where Air McNair played and Duck broke his records.

I thought Mason had been playing rather well. He moves around in the pocket. I understand rooting for the little guy and I watched the tape below, he can throw the football but the tape was just average. Rudolph is still the QB of the future.

Rudolph looks to me like a guy who is thinking too much. It doesn't seem like they narrowed the playbook for him too much. He's just processing all the info and trying not to make mistakes. He's looked better each week.

It's a lot to take in. I mean it's one thing to study the playbook and work on it in practice but you can never really simulate real time playing conditions. I am rooting for Hodges as well. How can you not.
I still believe Rudolph will be the future starter for the Steelers. It's just pretty ****** that he has been derailed by a pretty dirty helmet to helmet hit.
