This is it for Mariota. No more excuse that he lacks weapons. Corey Davis is good. The rookie AJ Brown looks really good. Humphrey’s is a very good slot WR and Walker is a great TE. They have a solid run game as well. The OL is not too good at pass pro with Lewan suspended but those weapons should lessen that to a degree.

I hated the QBs in that draft. Winston and Mariota were not NFL Qbs IMHO. Mariota doesn't have the arm and can't read defenses. Other than that he's great. Winston can't read a defense and is wildly inaccurate.

Agree. Some of those penalties on Tennessee's offense have been dogshit though.

i don't know what you mean, I've been told this week that if you have a pick in the top 10 it means you automatically get a franchise QB.
 
Dumb move going for the TD there. You finally put together a drive. You had to get some points. You're down 14 not 28 and have nearly a whole half left.

It's amazing to me how many mobile QBs have terrible pocket awareness. Sure, when they see pressure coming, they can run away, but on plays where they have to sense the pressure, it's crazy how many of the mobile QBs don't seem to sense it at all.

Probably because for most of their football life, they've been able to escape pressure so easily that they don't fear it. They don't have the fight or flight instinct

We've been robbed of a chance at one of those by trading our 2020 #1 for a known quantity - a highly serviceable DB. Yes, that's what a high pick might get you, and often does - a 'highly touted' whiff.

The list of busts is long. Those 2, Mark Sanchez, and Blake Bortles come to mind. Rosen and Darnold haven't set the league on fire, and Mitch Trubisky has the look of a typical ath-a-lete playing qb. Teddy Bridgewater, and Sam Bradford come to mind.Sure, your chances of snagging a good qb are better drafting high, but it's not like you absolutely can't find one later. Warner, Montana, Romo, and of course Brady are all guys who were missed by the scouts.

After I watched the video of the Monday Night Football game from 1979 Steeler-Bronco game...

I now realize why I dont have any desire to watch the NFL any longer....especially like the epic match up last night lol...

Only gamblers and fantasy losers would watch that **** show of a product the NFL now force feeds its fans..
