Report: Former first-round QB Lynch visiting Steelers

Yep. Vick is a sack of ****.

If you're a die-hard dog lover (which many people are), how could anyone not be upset by that? I don't care about the time he did or his attitude and actions after the fact, he tortured and executed our beloved, unconditional loving friends for sport. I don't care how he was raised etc., if you show that little regard for those lives, there's something seriously wrong with you.

He sued the NFL and won millions from them. No matter what any of us think about him professionally or personally is rather moot. No NFL team will bring him in. It would be a slap in the face to Goodell and what owner wants that?

Hmmm, that's pretty harsh for a 'one-gimmick QB who's now older and slower, can't read a defense, makes terrible decisions, has been out of football for too long to be able to "knock the rust off"

Are you this mad at all middling, out of work FA QB's?

More on Krap and how bad he was. Thanks to Ark for the link:

You Probably Forgot How Bad Colin Kaepernick Was Last Year

Nov 15, 2016

"Last season, Kaepernick had a defense-adjusted yards above replacement — Football Outsiders’ ultimate value quotient — of minus-182, 35th in the NFL. By all metrics, he was one of the worst quarterbacks in the league.

These numbers look even worse when you consider that the 49ers went to a single-read offense for Kaepernick after his terrible four-interception performance against the Arizona Cardinals in Week 3.

Each progressive interception in that game was worse — it was a total unraveling.

It only devolved further from there.

Kaepernick lost the 49ers locker room after a home loss to the Packers in Week 4 — Torrey Smith and Anquan Boldin both vented their frustrations with the [insert any and all expletives here] play of their quarterback during and after the game (the latter being more of the passive-aggressive variety, as two of the most loquacious and intelligent players on the team refused to talk to the media).

Kaepernick was air-mailing throws all over the field, and when he wasn’t doing that, he was skipping easy ones like this.

The 49ers went to a read-option offense for the next two games, and Kaepernick and the Niners didn’t look half bad. They weren’t a good team, but they weren’t being embarrassed.

But then defenses figured it out. The unraveling became a meltdown.

Kaepernick’s performance in the 49ers’ Week 7 Thursday Night Football game last year was among the worst quarterback performances in recent NFL history. As I wrote at the time "his mechanics had become so disorganized that even the easiest toss became an adventure in forward passing."

We’re talking about 10-yard outs being thrown 15 feet over receivers’ heads. Eventually, the 49ers stopped throwing the ball on third-and-long, such was the struggle.

It kept getting worse and worse. You honestly couldn’t tell if Kaepernick was throwing the ball away or aiming for intended receivers by the end of the contest.

There were basic mental lapses, too — on a third down in the second quarter, he broke the huddle with 17 seconds remaining on the play clock, only to try to change the play with three seconds remaining. The Niners were hit with a delay-of-game flag.

Week 8 was the official end. Any competent coach would have benched Kaepernick long before that game in St. Louis, but it was Tomsula in charge …

Kaepernick simply wasn’t allowed to throw beyond the first-down sticks in that game. The 49ers had a one-read system in place, and that read never went past the first-down marker, regardless of scenario.

Kaepernick’s lack of awareness finally forced the 49ers’ hand — they had to go to Gabbert after the Rams decided to stop covering wide receivers at the line of scrimmage and Kaepernick didn’t recognize it.

Kaepernick was, hands down, the worst quarterback in the NFL last season. He played so poorly that he made Gabbert look competent by comparison. He made mistakes that would get a high-school quarterback benched."

Move on to 2016. Here is what Krap did:

In 2016 he played in games #6 through #16.
The 49ers went 1-10 under him.
In 11 games he had 16 TDs and 4 Picks.
He was sacked 36 times (3.27 a game) for 207 yards
He had 9 fumbles.
He had 468 rushing yards and 2 Tds by foot

While those stats aren't downright AWFUL, when you compare it to what the article highlights, stats are misleading.

We don't want him. And no one wants a player like this that has shown he cannot play.

Especially considering he hasn't taken a snap since New Years day 2017.

He is, thank god, done in the NFL.

Lynch was terrible not sure why they picked him. Ben could be the sideline coach and roll with Mason and Duck.

This 1000X. If you torture a dog for fun there is something seriously wrong with you. It's sick and twisted. You don't do that to Innocent animals that depend on you for everything. I'd never let him out of jail.

yes...............................................................................................................................don't want him on this team and don't twist. This middling QB has been out of the game for a long time and was crappy as hell before he left the game. His QBR is misleading as it doesn't take his absence into account. The game has changed even if only 3 short years a go he was on a team. His run / worm warmers / blindness is not wanted here and then add in all the protest hype for those who JUST WANT TO WATCH a football game. Great attraction and viewers would be dropping like fles. I guess that would get the attention of STEELERS ownership and maybe a big change would occur........... goodbye tomlin but what a price to pay.

I have no hatred rooted into me against any human being, I just want what;'s best for our beloved Steelers and Kap is not it.

Just to clarify, Kaepernick didn’t “win” any lawsuit. He settled with the NFL. With the attention of all the 3rd parties on both sides on the spectrum, both of the very large legal teams agreed pursuing further litigation would harm both plaintiff/defendent in the public arena.

Kap can protest all he wants to. It's his right to vocally call attention to how misguided he is. I won't dissuade him from being a douchebag.

it shouldn't be dismissed that the dude LOST HIS JOB to Blaine ******* Gabbert.
The same Blaine ******* Gabbert who's now backing up the worst ******* QB in the league - Jameis Winston.

Settled, won. . . I still don't see any team giving him a chance. The QBs teams are bringing in are nuts and there he sits on his couch.

I've stated this before and I'll take heat for it. I'm a dog owner. Been one my whole life. LOVE dogs. My current two dogs are both rescues. I love rescuing dogs. One had been hit by a car, had a broken leg, two dead canine teeth we had to have removed, had parasites and lyme disease and had been abused. Nursed him back to health. He's like my next son.

I grew up on a farm. We raised animals. We slaughtered them for food. Not for sport, mind you. I've put countless animals to death in my life from birds to cattle, pigs, deer, fish, etc.

I am a DIE hard dog lover, yet the Vick thing didn't move me like others. It was wrong. Reprehensible. But I guess because of my background, I see a distinct line between animals and humans. Don't really know the reason why. But I am that person who loves dogs, but wasn't as bent about Vick as the average person was.

That's why you're on the left of things . I'm on the right. He is worse than Vick, imo.

Thinking that protesting the National Anthem is worse than torturing and killing hundreds of dogs isn’t being on the right, it’s being retarded.

Well, when we need an expert opinion on retardation, Trog, you are the go-to guy.

Lynch was signed to be our No. 3 QB. A lot of teams keep 2 QB's nowadays. Let's hope we never need to use him. If Rudolph does go down, it really wouldn't matter who you brought in. The season would be over. I can't think of any team or fan that would realistically think a 3rd string QB was going to win many games for them. Although, Rudolph was our 3rd stringer last year. Funny how that works out.

Another Liberal dictating what is right and wrong in the world.

Flog, some people value Country and Freedom and America over animals. Bizarre for you to consider, I realize.

I don't want Kap or Vick on my team. I am an animal/dog loving ex soldier. I am happy with my stance and both of them can go **** themselves.I also love the Steelers and want them to win, not tank. Because I want them to win. And win now. Rudolph they viewed as a first round pick, they just added Mink and he should be a solid addition. I realize why the team was slow out of the gates. Preseason normal non playing ****. But the excuses are over win, make it happen.

I have to agree with Trog on this one which is scary. I hate Kaepernick and think he is an entitled misguided *******, but he is not and has not done anything unlawful or caused physical harm to anything. What Vick did was disturbing to me. I think you have to be pretty sick to do the things he did. As for talent Lynch was horrible all around and I do think he brings anything to the team. Kaepernick definitely has more talent and exp, but he is not a good QB either and certainly would not be for signing him.
