Old mikey

On the 3rd and long Wilson run. "We brought a five man pressure and people had chances and didn't get it done". Really that is exactly what he wanted. Barron or Bush is made for that situation to spy him. That is beyond stupid for a statement.

Of course Tomlin never takes blame

I'm just glad they traded Dobbs. I feel certain Rudolph would have been benched after his first interception. The manlove was strong with that one.

The way things are going If Ben is out for a bit, they will probably offer a 2nd to get him back.

It is not his fault that Colblart saddled him with Moncreif and Barron.

I got there about five years ago. Welcome to the "this sucks" wagon.

2012 for me. When Tebow passed at will. No adjustments whatsoever. You could start to see where it was headed. Geeeez 7 years ago. Time flies when you are having fun.

Exactly. You don't rush 5 when the other team is trying to spring their QB. You spy him. Use 3 LBs to spy him.. I don't care. You know he is running so don't rush 5 guys up the field. Leave them to spy him so he can't run 15 yards down the field. Hell if you are going to blitz then blitz hard. Send the house. But since he needs 20 yards I'd just set back with my LBs and tackle him when he leaves the LOS.

Exactly this. If he really said that in Sask's post I want to crush something.

He said in the post game PC, ....we rushed 5 to stop him. To close down lanes.......CMT words.

Which is why this man should never be around an NFL team as a HC. Seriously? You're not trying to sack him dumbass. You want to stop him from running 15 yards down the field you doughnut.

And that is exactly what I would have done is bring five in lanes. But considering the situation, I'm in zone behind with probably Watt in that situation spying him.

In that situation he's not trying to sneak the ball for 3-5 yards. They needed a lot of yards. You know he is running the ball. Let him. Rush 3 and sit you LBs underneath so he gets 3 or 4 yards. This isn't brain science or rocket surgery....

5 In lanes isn't an over commitment. I understand that concept. But you have to have a good spy like Watt or Bush alone a MLB and then 5 at the stick or beyond. Rally to the ball.

Here is the thing. Those of us who have been talking about this for like the last 4 or 5 years will be proven correct. The guy just cannot get it done. He is not an NFL head coach without the best of talents and assistants cast around him. He cannot fix anything, his eye for talent in many cases is ridiculous, see Bud Dupree and his 9 million dollars and Chickiloo over Skipper and Ola here. he has zero feel for anything. He demands situational awareness from his players, yet seems to have literally zero himself. His mongo, ****** idiot Nose Tackle who has done less than zero in 4 years cost them 4 points in a 2 point game. if all of the blunders cannot be seen, I'm having a hard time watching this bullshit. Thought maybe **** might have turned the corner. Shelled out a ton of cash to see this team next week in S Fran. now feeling like I better enjoy the weather, the seafood and the sights. These cockheads don't deserve a penny out of me.

I hear you Sask. I know it’s a minimum 2000$ weekend. That coupled with our 25-30% less looney adds up. I’ve done it a couple times. I was lucky to go a little later in the season for playoff runs, lots of hype, both in Pittsburgh . Hope it’s not a stinker. San Fran is a cool place to visit. Should be lots of Steeler fans there..

First nfl game I went to was in San Fran. 1992 nfc championship game. My buddy’s aunt was head of ticket sales for the 9ers. He was a huge niners fan. Never even saw the bridge,3 days of debauchery. Plane ride back was my only rest....it was a good thing I taped the game. One of the few things I remembered clearly was how it frigging poured for the first half. And that the tailgate party was insane. I didn’t realize everyone partied after the game as well. Then got in their cars to drive home. How things have changed. Oh to be young again.....

It isn't an over commitment it's a half commitment. Either bring more than they can block or set back. Rushing 5 means you put a rookie (Bush) and Barron(?) in a situation where they are the last line of defense. I'd like to see that play again if anyone has it. But rushing 5 means you leave the middle covered by 2 guys instead of 4 when they need a lot of yards. It's like sending 2 DL on a goal line situation.. oh wait...

There was a time when I was like a lot of you...getting pissed off after losses, Moody Mondays, and looking/debating what the Hell was wrong with the Steelers. Good Times.

Now, I wake up on Sundays and don't even don my Dirt Dawson jersey or wear anything Black and Gold for that matter. I fully expect a loss and my family knows that I'm going to be a sarcastic prick for three hours, if I watch the game at all. What most of you have, Mike Tomlin stole from me. He's an inept muppet who has surrounded himself with The Electric Mayhem band and it's just too much for me to watch.

The Steelers no longer represent the City of Pittsburgh, the people deserve a team that does.

Tomlin coaches from the gut. Don't need no stinking tapes.

That, and the game plan is always right with no need for adjustments. Just that obviously we didn't execute the game plan properly.

Badcat summed up my feelings. I've lost 80% of my emotional attachment to the team and the NFL. Tired of the games they (NFL) allow to be played, tired of allowing racist players a free pass, tired of obvious tampering going not only unpunished, but not even investigated. Throw in the disaster that is Mike Tomlin and I am where I am. A Facebook memory popped up from 6 years ago where I was complaining about yet another uninspiring loss by the team. 6 years later - absolutely nothing has changed.
