Well this game pretty much went how I expected it. Didn't have the Steelers winning this one....and the Seahawks did something Coach Tomlin normally doesn't do....that's play to win the game! That 4th & 1 call by the Seahawks was game! I'll start by saying our Pass Defense is complete garbage! Wilson went 29 for 35 300 yds 3 TD's. That's a pass efficiency rating of 135.4. Steelers got early pressure on Wilson in the first half and sacked him 4 times but the Seahawks adjusted their play calling in the passing game while our Steelers Defense made zero adjustments and Wilson was able to tear apart our zone Defense! I'll say this today for the first time in a long time I saw a Steelers team get outplayed physically as the game wore on. Conditioning is obviously a factor. I'm also beginning to think our O-line is really missing Mike Munchak! James Conner was dancing too much behind the line of scrimmage and that is not his game. He's a take it and go one cut runner!

Kind of ironic that last week Steelers did nothing but play man on man and this week nothing but zone Defense. IMO if the Steelers did play man on the Seahawks I think we win this game. I didn't see any man vs man pass coverage out there today. I know they struggled last week with the pick plays but holy hell man...you play man defense all pre-season and first game and now in week 2 you go zone coverage....something you haven't practiced all season? I'm dumbfounded! Combine this with all the missed tackles today by our Steelers and once again the song remains the same for Pittsburgh. 0-2 and I honestly don't see them winning in San Francisco next week. BTW the 49'ers hung 41 points on the Bungles in the Jungle today....top that off with that we never play well on the West Coast. This team could be 0-3 going into Monday Night vs Bengals. I hope I'm wrong but I just don't see any improvement.

Quite a few injuries today all being evaluated as per Tomlin:
Ben Roethlisberger - Elbow Injury - Ben is scheduled for an MRI tonight!
James Conner - Knee Injury
Vince Williams - Hamstring
Anthony Chickillo - Plantar Fasciitis
Sean Davis - Shoulder

Game Balls:
Vance McDonald - 7 rec 38yd 2 TD's
Mason Rudolph - first regular season NFL action and I thought he represented himself pretty good today. 12 for 19 112 yds 2 TD's
Stephon Tuitt - 2.5 sacks he was on fire early but much like the rest of the Steelers Defense he wore out as the game went on
Cam Sutton - I thought he did pretty well out there in his limited time on the playfield. Had two nice tackles back to back tp prevent first down yardage
Steven Nelson - He had a good game today....pretty solid Free Agent pickup.

Game Goats:
Donte Moncrief - One pass thrown to him.....a catchable ball....right through his hands and picked off. So far this season the guy has been targeted 8 times made 3 catches for 7 yds......5 drops and one resulted in an INT. If he's on the roster Tuesday I'll be pissed off. He's gotta go!
Sean Davis - This guy has made some st00pid ******* plays throughout his career here in the Burgh but none more st00pid than a block in the back as Barron was heading to the endzone. Very costly penalty
Mark Barron - This guy looks like he doesn't put forth much effort out there on the field. Saw him jogging on one play as the RB turned the corner around the right side in the first quarter not to mention 2 missed tackles. Very pissed off by his lack of effort out there!
Devin Bush - he looked lost out there earlier today at times.....As a rookie I'll cut him some slack but he gets a Game Goat today....for 3 missed tackles.
Terrell Edmunds - The Trifecta of first round NFL Busts.....Jarvis Jones, Bud Duhpree, & Terrell Edmunds.....too many missed tackles
Bud Dupree - This guy continues to suck balls! 2 more tackles today....He's on par for his 33 tackles per season. Oh BTW...3rd & 16 late in the game and you let Russell Wilson run right past you for 15 yards which gave them the field position to go for it on 4th down! Nice heads up play there Bud! DUMBASS!

FU's:
FU to the NFL for changing the challenge rule for Pass Interference....completely ridiculous! I hate what the officiating has done to the game I love! It's being ruined right before our very own eyes.

Game Ball- Ben. (I’m no doctor, but a non contact injury on the throwing elbow of a 37 yr old QB makes me think the era is over) Thank you.
Goats: WRs- two td drives totaled less than 30 yds. Whole first half Ben set, cocked, and couldn’t pull the trigger.
FU: Moncrief’s **** from his locker better have been waiting for him in a hefty bag outside the locker room at the end of the game.

FU Moncrief, beyond terrible, that INT was a huge blow

FU Tomlin for playing ***** soft coverage and no spy on Wilson on the last drive, utter stupidity

Seeing Ben grab for his elbow reminds me of TB#12 when his career ended due to Tendonitis. Very sad but you might be right!

Game ball Rudolph, Watt, Tuit
Goats Oline don't think they are playing well. Butler and Tomlin
FU to Moncrief the whole game changed after his miss.

People complaining about the PI seem ti forget Dupree had a blatant penalty not called on the same play. Seattle would have had a first anyways. Of course the PI gave them more yards, but the way our D was playing those extra yards probably didn't matter.

Nelson played some man today. And, I will disagree on Edmunds. Other than the Metcalf TD, which he was with him step for step, I thought he played very well.

The D needed VW in this game. They could have and should have (if he was available) had him in the middle playing the run and calling plays with Bush covering Dissly or any other TE. Barron has looked horrible in the first 2 games. I sure hope he isn't a complete and even bigger bust than the ILB they brought in last year.

True Nelson did look solid overall

Edmunds played pretty well other than the one bad missed tackle. I can't really blame him for the Metcalf TD. Bush had a far worse game

I saw enough of Bush covering TE's. Not a good outcome.

Edmunds also missed a key tackle early.

Saying Moncreif is a goat is way too kind. He is a goat ******. Terrible. Cut him now. Bring Rogers back if he is available.

If Montcreif is still on this roster after Tuesday then tomlin needs to be fired

Amen. GTFOH.
Big Dan cost us 4 points today as well.

What did Big Dan do on the field goal attempt? I was watching on my phone without sound and all I saw was him fall down between two players. I thought they signaled personnel foul, but I could tell what he did...

He made contact with the long snapper.

I'm suprised with all the shade thrown at Bush. This is his 2nd game, Polamalu and Shazier werent even on the field at this stage of their rookie years, let's cut him some slack

Not true. Troy played in every game his rookie year. He had 2 tackle for loss, 38 total tackles, 2 sacks, 4 PD and 1 FF. He had a TFL in his first game against Baltimore. Shazier played in the first 9 games until he got hurt. He had 5 solo tackles and 1 TFL in his first game.

They both played a lot their rookies years except Shazier got hurt.

Bush is small and is horrible in man coverage and can;t get off blocks yet we traded up and drafted his small *** to do what exactly ? We all knew his problems at U of M and laughed when he was drafted so early. We still can;t cover TEs and RBs and he makes us worse against the run than when Vince is in there , another bad pick by Tomlin.

I think that he flashed in the preseason and got everyone hyped up and has pretty much fallen flat the first 2 games. I expected alot of struggles, but his coverage has been really bad. I am certainly not saying he is a bust, but he has been disappointing out of the gate

Did you ever watch him in college. He couldn;t cover McCullers in a phone booth.

I'll take your word for that Vader, I stand corrected.

I do recall Polamalu labeled a bust by many people in his first year. I guess I don't agree with those ripping him after 2 games, yes he's been beaten and out of position, but I think we should cut him sime slack

He's looked bad in coverage you're right. But he has flased some desperately needed ILB quickness and athleticism.

Bush and Barron look poor in coverage, along with almost every LB we've had in the last 3 years not named Shazier, ****** coaching/schemes are a big part of it too...

Two games out we don't know what we have in Bush, plenty of rookies struggle out of the gates. It doesn't mean **** until it does.
