Dobbs TRADED to Jags for a 5th Rounder.....

Go get Devante Parker from Dolphins, he’s young and could definitely get better. Has player maker capability.

this. flip that 5th to the Fish for Parker.

You'd need more than the 5th for Devante Parker, but absolutely if they had any interest in dealing him whatsoever. He looks to be about the only offense Miami has ATM though.

Dobbs was taken in the 4th. Depreciation is certainly expected the moment he drove off the lot. Besides, he probably lost the New Car Smell long ago.

Sorry. Trying something to improve my foul mood today. not much is working.

Anyway, we now have a conditional 5th this year and what was the one we got in 2021? Tampa's 6th? So they are building some collateral they can move. good. Not sure they will find an active player this year who can help. More likely save it for next draft and just buy some stickum for dropcreif.

They signed Albert Wilson and they have a young guy Preston Wilson who had their TD yesterday. They might part with Parker.

I wonder if they would part with Gesicki.

Never should have been taken in the fourth. .....and then traded for a 5th. LOL

At least he will not be that far from Space X east coast when he's eventually released.

Jags will more than likely be picking early in each round. Steelers usually pick late. So the difference between a late 5th and a early 4th isn't much.

Had he stayed here as #3 he would be worth less next year. Getting a 5th is ok.

Dobbs seems like a great guy, but I'm glad they were able to trade him where he has a chance to be a backup. I do wish they could've made the move earlier because Dobbs took away some valuable snaps from Rudolph with the second string during training camp and the preseason.

maybe not, I watched their game, their back-up didn't look bad at all

Jaguars rookie QB Gardner Minshew sets NFL, franchise records in debut

Sixth-round draft pick and backup quarterback Gardner Minshew completed his first 13 passes and broke the franchise record for completion percentage. Minshew attended East Carolina for two years before transferring to Washington State. At Washington State, the QB threw for 4779 yards and 38 touchdowns. He also threw just nine interceptions all year as he led the Cougars to an 11-2 record.

Minshew started his day completing his first 13 passes, the most to start a career in the last 40 years, according to Elias. He finished the day 22 of 25 for 275 yards and two touchdowns against one interception. That’s a solid day for a $30 million-a-year QB; for a guy who’d never taken a pro snap before, it’s downright astounding.

Yeah, but let’s just wait until there is some gametape on him and people gameplan for him to make that assumption

Jags have playmakers on both sides of the ball he dont need to do it all himself, Fournette is back healthy looking beastly.

Pick Skipper up and actually give him a chance after all we all believe it could easily be an 8-8 season with this schedule.

Jags gonna be fun to watch

cool story

How Gardner Minshew and his mustache took over Washington State

Gardner Minshew? To Alabama?

A two-year starter at quarterback at East Carolina, Minshew had never been a sought-after football recruit. He started his college career as a walk-on. He spent a year in junior college. He briefly lost his starting job at East Carolina the previous season.

But Minshew, as a graduate transfer, was going to accept an offer to join the national champions? It didn't seem to make much sense, and soon Minshew was inundated with messages from people who couldn't believe the news.

"It was nuts," Minshew said. "Most people were kind of like, 'What the hell?'"

What better place to learn more about coaching than under the famously demanding Saban? As part of their recruiting pitch, the Crimson Tide promised Minshew a two-year graduate assistant's position on the staff after the 2018 season.

Also, with Alabama headed into the spring with a quarterback competition between incumbent Jalen Hurts and national title hero Tua Tagovailoa, it seemed likely that the loser would transfer away and Minshew would take over as the top backup.

Within days, more of the calls came from college coaches hoping to poach an experienced quarterback coveted by Nick Saban and Alabama. In Tuscaloosa, the recruiters reminded Minshew, he might never get a chance to play.

A few days later, Washington State coach Mike Leach called Minshew with the most appealing proposal of all. "Do you want to be a backup at Alabama or lead the nation in passing?" Leach asked. "We're going to lead the nation in passing one way or another."

For Minshew, it was an offer he couldn't refuse.
