AB bein AB: Wash Rinse Repeat...

From the article:

He’ll argue that, at a minimum, he should receive the same one-year grace period that was given to players like Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who ultimately won the Super Bowl while wearing a helmet that the NFL has deemed to be unsafe for use.

I've read he was given the notice as well that he had a one-year grace period, and that was last year. What a clusterfuck this is becoming.

The poor guys that just want to be done with hearing about AB, that ain't happening anytime soon.

Florio was stating this fact about the grace period this morning.. Wondering if he gave ab the idea.

florio is a ********....**** him and his site and the ******* attention ***** ab

if AB listens to him, hopefully Florio continues to pull wild hairs out of his *** for AB

Same here, other people´s problems can be very entertaining. Even though I´m slowly starting to feel sorry for him...

Honestly, I can't help but think that he has mental issues. Dude's way off of any rocker

I think he is trying to avoid the pre-season. He basically skipped camp and two weeks of pre-season football. Hell, he only has to act batshit for about two more weeks then, he is in the clear. Surely he's got enough crazy to cover that.

With all due respect, but how many AB threads do we need?

I'd merge them all into one single 'AB is an Asshat' mega thread.

How much do you actually think he was going to play in the pre-season anyways? They just need to work on timing with him and Carr.

the majority are paid content. Just this one was created by a SN user.

Probably not much. But there is a lot of practices and technical stuff he is missing too. I think he just wants to get to the regular season. The helmet is the excuse. If it wasn't that, or his feet, it would be something else.

a few month ago I was so tired of hearing about AB and his antics. Now I kinda like hearing this ****

and who says a player's change of venue can't do us some good.........!! KaBing

Salute the nation

Its likely he doesn't want to practice but AB is a work horse, this trends against his legendary work ethic he put in to get him to this point. The deal with the feet puts him off the field but the helmet is just straight bullshit. I think he's checked out. This is my own opinion. This guy quit on this team last year and he's quitting on his new team before he ever suits up. Glad we fleeced them for a 3rd before he got to this point of his self implosion.

I'm 100% sure he's staying in shape and working as he always has. Just by himself.
IMO - the coddling he got from Jerry Rice went to his head. Getting recognition from "the GOAT" messed with his already imbalanced chemicals and made his ego explode. He'll play this season, and likely need a game or two to get into football shape, but he'll play.

and, yes, if it wasn't for the helmet, it would be his feet. if not his feet, it would he his helmet. if not for both, it would be this or that or the other as Sarge said.

I think Brown truly believes that the rules for everyone else in the league simply don't apply to him.

He's absolutely bought in to the hype that he's the greatest receiver ever to play the game and that he ought to be allowed particular concessions because of his talent and his output. Sure, he works out like a machine, but that won't matter one bit if he doesn't have timing and rapport with his QB.

Roethlisberger and Brown spent pretty much a decade learning what each other was going to do in just about any game situation. Carr has no idea that Brown will break off a route at any given moment if he sees something in the defender. And if Carr throws the ball to where he THINKS Brown is going, Carr is going to look like a **** QB because as often as not, Brown won't be there.

Sure, he makes some amazing plays, but that's because the plays were there for him to make. Carr isn't going to have the comfort and trust in Brown to just heave **** up and see what happens. I mean, you can know in your head that Brown is amazing and is likely to make a play, but a QB has to trust in his gut that if he makes a risky throw the receiver is going to ball out for him. Can ANYBODY on the Raiders right now believe Brown is going to ball out? He seems much more intent on bailing out.

The time he skipped in training camp WILL have repercussions. Brown is good enough that he'll still put up over 1000 yards essentially in his sleep, but I would be really surprised if he doesn't see a very real dropoff in his production for any number of reasons.

He'll be doubled every single down and Carr may feel more comfortable in those situations throwing to the single covered guy that he's worked with for years or at least through the pre-season.
Brown will change routes and do things that Carr can't anticipate and as a result, Carr may be late in his throws or he may throw to where he THINKS Brown is going to be and that will lead to incompletions and ints. That will, over time, erode Carr's faith in Brown even more.

No, there will be repercussions. It will be interesting to see how well the Raiders can mitigate them and if Browns raw, sheer talent can overcome.

someone mentioned that his feet may still too bad and he's trying to buy more time and using the helmet grievance until he can get on the field. I guess I can see that, why go this route? Damn, say your feet are still f'd up, rest and heal. No reason to look like an *** every waking moment.

If he is just on injury time out, then he doesn't get to see himself on all the best social and news feeds. He is an attention ***** who thinks people love him. He just doesn't get people are laughing at him. anyway, this is his way of getting "clicks".
