Pay me or trade me.....

Dak Prescott wants 40 million a year. Anyone even think he is worth a **** at all without Elliot? Not me. But hey it's ok for Dak to want crazy. He is a qb.

Simple negotiations ... They offer 30 you counter with 40 . They come back at 33 you counter with 37 . They settle at 35 million plus 1 dollar more than Russell Wilson (highest paid QB in the league for the next week at least) Just wait until Patrick Myhomies gets his turn to cash in.

Yeah I hear you Sask.... 40 million for Dak is nuts......... his best year was his rookie season ....... he is just trying to get backpay

Cowboys franchise worth 5 Billion and revenue in 2018 was 864 million not bad return for Jerry Jones since he bought it for 140 million 30 years ago

He's out of his ******* mind.

If I were the cowboys,, I would offer 25. **** it. Go backward.

Good number as he isn't able to sniff Ben Roethlisberger's ability at all. Why over pay when he under-performs.

Jason Witten comeback already in the works
Jerry Jones is on a conference call with Tony Romo, Michael Irvin and Emmitt Smith as the backup plan.
Shane Falco stay by your phone

Are you talking Falco from the "Replaements movie star" or our one very own "STEELERNATION.com OR are they one in the same????

Either way I'd like to get his Autograph and deliver a bottle of Ripple to him.

Well hopefully a few of these signing go wrong and these teams pay alot of money for a guy that doesn't produce. Hopefully the first one is AB, maybe they'll be hesitant to sign these guys that act like douchebags to get out of their current contract.

I don't care that teams can cut a player whenever they want, no matter their contract. My boss can walk in today and say you're fired. If these guys didn't have that threat of losing their jobs, alot of them would just slack off and care less. If they don't like it, then quit football and find a different job.

exactly.
how many times do you see a player have his best season the year before be becomes a free agent?
you will see guys faking injuries more.
the majority of these guys already dont care about winnings or losing, i can only imagine how they would act if they had guaranteed money

Dak is worth everything Jerry Jones wants to give him....

**** dem Cowboyz

Bold statement. I wouldn't go that far---even the guys on the bench "want to win". While football is an entertaining sport - do not forget the "business" side of it. Don't like him, but Jerry Jones would not have made his football world into the galaxy it is now if he didn't make the deals that he's made to build it.

Personally, I'm on the pay the guys their guaranteed money considering that most of them will be out of the league in 4-5 years...

I'm ok with paying a franchise QB. To bad Dak isn't one. Without that OL and running game Dak isn't sniffing a playoff game. If I'm Dallas I tell both of them to pound sand. Also the Cowgirls may make almost a billion dollars a year but there is a salary cap. You sign Dak and Zek to huge contracts and you won't have money to pay anyone else.

I think the 40M number for Dak is in new money cause if they add 4years onto his deal @40M that would make is 5/162 total(approx 32M/year). It’s a lot of money for him but they have very limited options to replace him.

As much as I love the draft, it’s the only thing that is unfair about the CBA as a player gets locked into a pay range without being able to prove his worth. I don’t have any sympathy for veterans who signed contracts and then eventually decided they were worth more than what they had agreed upon. **** that, you misjudged your value, that’s on you.

If a player wants a fully guaranteed contract, insist that everything is included in the signing bonus, and then play for the league minimum.

maybe i should have said the guys care way more about money than they do about winning
that being said, even the guys making big money sure dont seem too upset after losing a game.
hell, how m any times do you see players laughing and joking on the sidelines while getting beat or doing the same after the game is over?

as far as guaranteed contracts, i think it will hurt the game. it will reward injured, faking injuried, under performing and 'i got my money so i wont try' players and will punish players that are just the opposite. there will be too much money tied up on the dead weight to give to the players that are earning it

how does that protect the team from players mailing it in after getting their money?

It wouldn’t. It would very much limit the number of team interested in players making such demands.
