To me is not Bush vs White. It's Bush vs who we could have in round 1, 2, this year and round 3 next year.

Is Bush better than G Willimas, and D.K. Metcalf, two other rookies off to a fast ? In round three I would have went with ILB Pratt, who's also off to a fast start.

Just camp talk.

The article is highlighting 2 ILB taken high in the draft who have some similarities, and just happen to be playing their first NFL game on the same field at the same time.

Not what some goober on the interwebs thinks.

I think Bush can play, the question is was he worth the trade up.

lol. Poor Coach.

He's just NEVER going to get past Polamalu's damn ginormous head.

Bush 7 tackles 3 assists vs. White 0 tackles 1 assist
didn't watch the game so I am not sure on playing time for both individuals.
Heard Bush only played for one half???? If true I guess he better step up his game ....maybe someone on this board could coach him up

Let's be clear that they weren't going to take D.K. Metcalf, particularly that early. Not the type of WR they go for.

Bush was the best defender on the field tonight. Pretty close to getting a sack as well in addition to the missed interception. He did get beat by a tight end on a passing play, but that was more of a product of a perfect pass because he had tight coverage.

If today's game is indicative of his potential then I'm sold on the trade up, disruptive in both the passing and rushing game, great instincts for a rookie out of the gates playing against starters

I think the biggest concern from some fans was his ability to get off blocks. I think he showed that he is capable. Albeit in just a one preseason game showing.

Like it was preached to Shazier if you can't go thru your man, you damn sure will need to be able to go around him.

Bush has the speed and athletic ability to flow thru blocks. and the speed and fluid ability to be coverage capable.

Not a finished product by any means, but I love what I am seeing early out of the gates.

My closet is dominated by OFFENSIVE apparel # 12 T. Bradshaw ,29 B.Foster, 33 W. Parker, 86 H. Ward, 88 L. Swann and various t-shirts with the Bus
DEFENSE dedicated to # 26 Rod and 43 Troy and some plaques of Rod and Mean Joe
This kid is going to make it hard to decide who joins the collection next 55 Bush or 90 TJ Watt to help create some balance

Keep working hard young man, don't fall out of favour with the GODFATHER

Coach is a slow learner...

White only played 1 1/2 series. He played a lot less snaps than Bush did.

Shall we remind you of the 4th and inches play??? Guess who shot the gap and stopped the RB in the backfield? It wasn't DK Metcalf...

It wasn't just Bush either. The RB was stopped by #92. Both Bush and 92 were unblocked. Bush wouldn't have touched him if he isn't slowing down and being hit by 92. It was a good play but i'd expect a stop if an ILB and OLB both were unblocked on a running play inside.

Not sure how foster fits in with your nice collection. Just throw both watt and Bush in there

I know that Vader - but, I believe you're wrong about Bush not catching him. As you said, Bush was unblocked and was in the backfield at the hand-off. Ola was also unblocked and TB's RB didn't have a chance.

I'm very happy that we jumped up to get the kid. Imagine what he's going to look like after a year or two...

It was an XMAS gift from someone that didn't know much about football but knew I was a huge Steelers fan. It doesn't have the name plate on it but that is who the number was assigned to at the time.

Small excerpt from Bio on Barry Foster below. Not bad numbers considering how short his career was.

Barry Foster’s NFL career was cut short because of injuries. For his career, he carried the football 915 times for 3,943 yards, a 4.3-yard per carry average, caught 93 passes for 804 receiving yards, scored 28 touchdowns, and went to 2 Pro-Bowls. His 1,690 rushing yards in 1992 is still the Steelers single season rushing record. Foster was known in the 90's as "The NFL's Other Barry.", a reference to himself and Barry Sanders.
