He can still spin it. This year is going to be exciting to watch him spread the wealth around as far as targets go. Fitchner needs to keep other teams off balance and guessing where we will strike from next.

Ah, the old how do you feel the question coming into the season. Aside from an athlete coming back from an injury, how many of then up there in years don't say they feel " great " coming into the season?


Ben looks ready to go, but at his age, father time can add a dog year to his football career, and it will happen sooner or later. Let's hope of later.

Wow that's a lot of doom and gloom in 3 short lines. I too don't always agree with the FO decisions (especially with coaching personnel) but Lev Bell was given ample opportunity to get paid and to continue to be a Steeler and AB where does one even begin to try and fathom the antics used to force his way out of town. Granted they were both very talented players but what did we win with them?
As far as padding Ben's stat line -- Lev Bell wasn't even on the field last year and if you took away Ben's passing yardage to AB, he still would have passed for more yards than half the QBs in the league.
I know his TD total would be down drastically but many would argue so would his INTs . We don't have to play with 10 players on OFFENSE just because AB is gone. We will still line up with another player at WR who has earned their way as a professional athlete onto an NFL roster. They will not replace AB in entirety but they will make plays and contribute to an offense that will have to adapt to sharing the ball. D. Moncrief is faster, stronger, younger and bigger than AB. I am quite sure that our seasoned QB is going to make plays to him and a whole host of other talented kids that we have in camp to pick up the slack. Ben elevates the level of play around him. A quality QB who can make all the throws under pressure is way harder to replace than a RB or WR no matter how talented they may have been.
I am just glad that we resigned the guy who cares less about leading the league in stats or being the highest paid at his position. If Ben stays healthy he will be just fine. I am curious why you use BigBen on your profile?

Perhaps you didn't notice Bell did not play last year, and you might want to look up AB's stats when Ben wasn't throwing him the ball.

I'm not concerned about this year. Go troll another team.
