Heinz is barely a Pittsburgh company any more.

Well, the end is near, for more than just Heinz as Tomlin's contract is close as well.

Salute the nation

that's because Heinz57 is a ******* ********.

upmc steel field

They Need to name the stadium something like "Three River Stadium" So when all these sponsors pull in and pull out,,,,, lol . The name is the same its just " The PPG Three river stadium" And next time its the US Steel Three River Stadium. etc...

Heinz Field was a pretty good sponsor name. All the mustard colored seats. Better than something like Whataburger Field. Giant Eagle Field would be a bad choice.

Art Rooney II has a golden opportunity to do something right. Name the stadium after its founder. Art Rooney Stadium. Who can disagree with that? Yeah it might cost him 2.5 million a year, but with the amount of money these owners are making, do the right thing.

Ganassi Field. Chip Ganassi is a Yinzer and if anyone could put a deal together it would be him.
I'd look for PNC Field, at least they'd have their name associated with a winning team.

It's more like a minimum of $6 million per year, likely higher.

I know Heinz isn't a Pittsburgh institution anymore, but it still fit the city and odds are we are going to see some terrible name to the stadium. I do miss the names when the stadiums just had names and not corporate sponsorships. In the end I will still be calling it Heinz Field out of habit. Heck, I still call KeyBank Pavilion "Star Lake."

Yinzers don't adapt to change real well. Ask directions and you get, "Go dahn nair to the red light an' make left where Pizza Hut usta be, 'en make a right where the Plymouth dealer usta be, en you'll see where the Olds dealer usta be and you're right there an' nat."
