Fairly interesting games for week 1, as it seems now.
Thurs opener...GB @ Bears. Chicago has a solid D, GB made lots of moves to bolster their D, but not sure how new HC and Rogers will hit it off. Of course, we don't know who will get hurt between now and that game, but I am leaning towards a Bear win, 20-16.
Rams @ Panthers. I'm feeling a Rams' slide back and a Panther upswing; Cam supposedly is a new man with fixed shoulder. A Panther upset wouldn't surprise me.
Skins @ Eagles. Philly wins ugly game. Skins still muddled.
Bills @ Jets. Crap shoot. 2 teams trying to discover if they have a franchise QB or not. Both Ds could be solid. Flip a coin.
Falcons @ MN. I feel ATL is still a soft team. MN wins with overrated Cousins.
Ravens @ Fins. The Fins are on endless treadmill. Until further notice, Balt. just keeps a strong D year after year. Not crazy about QB, but Ravens still a contender on some level.
KC @ Jags. This one seems interesting. How good is KC? Who are the real Jags? How much better does Foles make them? I'm interested in seeing how it pans out.
TN @ Cle. Another compelling game week 1. Most Browns fans think this is an easy win. I don't agree. I like what Vrabel is doing. TN could steal this one.
Colts @ Chargers. Two legit contenders for AFC. Indy finally improved on D and OL. I see a tight one.
Cinci @ Seat. Hawks win.
9ers @ Bucs. I think TB has been stuck in neutral from an inept HC. Arians will make them better. And it's humid and hot as balls in Tampa in early Sept. 9ers melt and Bucs grab a W.
NYG @ Dallas. NY seems rudderless and clown-like. Zeke runs wild.
Det @ AZ. Yuck.
Pit @ NE (night game). Hoodie with weeks to prepare for our coaches who suck at game planning and can't make adjustments? Still never know. But what we do know is Hoodie will have team prepared.
Double Monday nighters
Texans @ NO. Texans are an odd team, so up and down. I like Drew at home, 27-23.
Den @ Oak. This is a true crapshoot. I'm guessing Flacco will be QB for Den. Raiders at home vs. hated rival. Mr. Big chest time. Could be some good drama.
