Tomlin knows Steelernation is pissed off and likes it.

The same coach who one a super bowl and got to a second one. Not exactly what someone could call bad.

With the previous HC's players and staff. Only three playoff wins in the last 8 years since their last SB. Not the stuff of legend.

Now as a fan said this can Tomlin debate has been horse beaten to death.

I asked myself this question. (I answered too)

My question for the fans like me who had moments of the next coach please. (no matter if you feel that way sometimes or all the time)

Say the team gets all the way to the SB and wins it.

Does your feelings on Tomlin change?

yer or no?

Slash, instead of calling for his head......MOST here would say "about ******* time".

I'd be in that group But also know that I think he is near the cusp of a great coach and winning this year's SB would put him in the debate. He would need to follow up next season with at least one play off win along with the bye. If he keeps failing by 1 and done then **** it, get someone new in. In fact if he doesn't make playoffs this year he should be gone regardless of contract.

As I said, he is right on that edge of yea or nay. His performance is playoffs or out of work. If playoffs, then he best get a couple wins or strong consideration of out of work. If SB victory, play him out with a one year extention and see what he does.................

It's one or done for me. Meaning if he gets there with this team this season, I'll go to Pittsburgh and serenade Mike Tomlin myself.

If it's the same old **** that we've been witnessing, I'm moving on. Simple as that.

Somewhat because he will have done it with his team and staff, not holdovers from the previous regime.
I still think best case is 10-6 with a loss in the wildcard round because his defense won't be improved.

I won't move on to another team but they won't be must-see TV for me any more. Was kinda sorta thinking about a Steelers tattoo of some sort until last season's debacle.

He still has Ben as a hold over. But I get your point.

Only one player, not the whole team. That said, if Shades doesn't get to the SB quick, well it ain't happening with Josh Dobbs and Mason Rudolph.

I won't be moving on to another team either, but I'll be moving on to not caring anymore with this current head coach.

I've moved on from this HC already. They aren't winning a SB because of Tomlin. If anything they'll have to overcome him and his horrible decision making to win a SB. If I see one more 2 DL goal line set I'll scream.

well, sure. i'd be willing to see him in a different light IF he gets this team to, and WINS, the superbowl. at that point, i absolutely wouldn't have any issue with him sticking around for a couple more seasons. but, anything short of that, no.

I will still be a Steeler fan, but my passion will decrease. Our only hope is that the players have enough leadership on their own. It's possible. Cam, JuJu, Joe Haden, TJ, DD, Pounce, Ben, Conner....Edmunds?

Of course. Happily eat crow. Unfortunately I think that's along the same lines as wondering if actually seeing Santa Claus would change my feelings about him.

Well, We have to hope he plays him.

You never know when he might treat a regular season game as an exhibition game and keep a back up QB in the game because of the rhythm and flow of the game.

We ******* LOST the division and the playoffs because of that abject stupidity.

Yes, Steel pissed.

Once again Shades uses big words and says the right things but will he do anything differently? Probably not.

Tomlin should move into "player development " and the team should appoint a new head coach.

this moron needs to go
happy that his team is being labeled as underachievers, drama queens, undisciplined?
him and this organization have been a laughing stock since week 17 last year and this idiot likes it............
he should be embarrassed and ashamed. he should be apologetic. he should promise to be better.
this guy doesnt get it anymore
no heart, no desire............just entitled

If the season doesn't start out too well, he'll turn over stones!

Of course Mike Tomlin starts EVERY season with just one expectation! To WIN the motherfuckin' 8th game!

Of course with all these running backs, Mike will go back to the lab. Not the chemistry lab or the physics lab. To the labrador he likes to play and frolic with as he trots out Conner for another 8000 touches and then wonders why Conner can't walk by week 11.

A true disciplinarian, MT will unleash hell on any player who fails to clean off the foos-ball grip handles after playing.

The idea of Mike Tomlin keeping his **** together (or even just staying out the way) long enough and well enough to win a SB with his own roster...

You need some 'Popcorn'. It's going to be a long season.

I think for the first time in his career, Tomlin has a locker room that is about the team. It is the tightest group he's had of his players and it unfortunately is coming near the end of Roethlisberger's career. Luckily, we still should have another 2-3 years with a franchise QB and hopefully an offense focused more on balance rather than airing it out too much as they did last year.

****, you're absolutely right and I made myself forget about that. ******* Tomlin.

End of season interviews showed Mike Tomlin with a look in his eye that I hadn't seen before. He had a lock down fear that I think ownership instilled into him. Fast forward to current and I think he has left some of that fear in the lab. I hope the owners remind him a little of the nature of his buisnes.

The FO has given him a VERY good roster to work with and even a challenge coach so he has less worries and should be able to focus more on the in depth parts of the game. We all talk of players and their ability and how they must step up this year................

Well this is CMVLT's year to step up. If he doesn't or can't for any reason at all, ..... Then he should be gone.
