Rod Woodson picks Steelers to win AFC North

I think it will come down to a few things and obviously health is one. How good will the Browns actually be. On paper they look very good. I tend to feel that history says the Ravens offensive style will be solved and usually sooner than later. So I feel that second is well within their reach. If a few things like an emerging number two receiver, a kicker, and a better defense role their way for sure they can take the division. The Browns are still learning how to win.

I think we can run on the rats now with their off-season losses. A we'll see of course. The Browns have some attractive on paper looks. But they will need to prove it on the field. And I think Ben is still the better QB in comparison. if relatively healthy I see 12 and 4/ 11 and 5 type season.

I make these predictions every season

before the season season........ 12-4 ...........................................Have been right in the past
play offs 3-0 or SB bound ...........................................................Have been right in the past
Superbowl win ...........................................................................Have been right 6 times

BUT I always pick 19-0

Salute the nation

I will not argue with my favourite player all time.
I see 10 - 6 or better at season's end and the Browns close behind taking a wild card spot
Go Steelers

Rod is a homer. He picks Pitt pretty much every season.

Can you blame him??? Most winningest franchise since the merger so he'd be right more than wrong.

I think people forget how much the Ravens lost on D. I think they caught lightning in a bottle with Jackson last year and will be nowhere near as good this year. The Browns have a ton of pressure on them and they messed with what was working as far as coaching wise, but I still think they will be improved overall. I wouldnt be surprised if the Bengals finish ahead of the Ravens this year.

As Sask mentioned, health a big factor as always and a much improved, faster defense is expected as well. My concerns are ST, will they improve? TE depth, not sold on Grimble, and as always, coaching decisions. All three have to improve and if they do, I see 11-5 as a real strong possibility.

Excellent points. ALSO...

Baker Mayfield, is a darn good QB, but he's got a new coach and new system - I'm not crowning them with anything until we see how he can adapt to new changes and we all know about the "sophomore slump" (you can add Lamar Jackson on that list too).

Agree or disagree with Mr. Woodson here?

He thinks the Steelers win it at 10-6 and the Ravens/Browns tie at 9-7, with the Bengals coming in at 4-12. Sounds extremely reasonable to me.

Basically I agree. I think 10-6 will win the division and it's the best-case scenario for the Steelers. 10-6 to 8-8 is where they'll be.

Actually, he's pretty objective. But maybe he's been picking Pitt because we've won the most division titles in the last decade?

We weren't very good last year due to the defense and ST's, this coming season I think we'll be about the same, the Browns will be a little better, the Rats will be a little worse, and the Bungles are gonna suck bigly. Shades will keep his "never a losing season" record intact and get beat in the first round of the playoffs as he usually does.
