OK, let's turn opinion into fact. Last year's rookie WR production. (Nothing like going to the most recent facts in search of the truth.)
DJ Moore, 1st round. 55 rec, 788 yards. A first round pick on a team with little else at WR. I predict here and now DJ won't equal these #'s. Most had DJ as a 4th round pick.
Calvin Ridley, 1st round, 64, 821. Again, a 1st round talent.
Courtland Sutton, 2nd round, 42, 704.
Donte Pettis, 2nd round, 27, 467
Christian Kirk, 2nd, 43, 590.
Anthony Miller, 2nd, 33, 423.
James Washington, 2nd, 16, 217.
DJ Chark, 2nd, 14, 174.
Mike Gallup, 3rd, 33, 507
Tre Smith, 3rd, 28, 427
Now we are in DJ's draft area.
Keke Coutee, 4th, 28, 287
Ant. Calloway, 4th, 43, 586 (considered 1st round talent, had off field issues)
DaeSean Hamilton, 4th, 30, 243
Jaleel Scott, 4th, 0, 0
J'mon Moore, 4th, 2, 15
Justin Watson, 5th, 0, 0
Daurice Fountain, 5th, 0, 0
Jordan Lasley, 5th, 0, 0
Damion Ratley, 6th, 13, 144
Make of it what you will. I think DJ's pedigree is a 4th to 5th rounder. Do you honestly think he's gonna drop 80 grabs for 1,000 yards? I do not.
All things considered, I think 30 rec is probably his top end for 2019. I bet Washington outplays him. But injuries always come into play. If two WRs go down, then who knows.
