By Jared Villani SteelerNation.com It’s no secret Pittsburgh Steelers wide receiver JuJu Smith-Schuster has grown exponentially since joining the league just two seasons ago. While JuJu’s targets will undoubtedly increase throughout the 2019-20 season with the absence of Antonio Brown, his responsibilities and attention from opposing defenders will as well. Another one of the AFC’s […]

his comments on JuJu may be on point, but his comment later comparing Ben and Carr? **** Keenan and his chicken-wing QB.

I think it was Carr's brother that put him in top 5 QBs and left Ben Roethlisberger totally out of that list. He was serious.................. and since that discussion, the younger Carr has been the media darling. Talk about over-rated but this up coming season will quiet that story right up. Carr and Brown will implode by week 4 and not just because of the W/L column but because little dick won't be top 5 or top 10 for that matter and we all know what happens to little dick when he isn't getting his. If by chance he is in top 10, his team will be suffering because of that.

NICE write up and thank you

Hardly news at all, becuae this is the natural process of a #1 Receiver...

Juju is gonna need to grow as a receiver because he is now the man. Natural process. He'll be just fine.

What WILL OPEN UP JUJU'S game is production from a plethora of receivers....That is how we will be playing.

IIf these guys hit the following numbers: Moncrief 72 receptions , Washington 51 Receptions, & Samuels 45 receptions, JUJU will be at about 110-125 catches,....

Actually Brown might be the one missing JuJu. The #2 in Oakland is Tyrel Williams 41 2018 receptions. That's 70 short of JuJu. Oakland also doesn't have that great of a TE or other supporting cast. Brown might be triple covered.
JuJu might have a slower start to the year, but his supporting cast will step it up as the year goes along. We had a 2 receiver offense in 2018, 2019 we could have a 5 WR offense.

Vance says not to forget about his 60+ receptions. I really believe he will have a great year.

I expect Moncrief to do well and I believe Washington improves, but I think its going to come down to our TEs. McDonald is a beast, but his injury history scares me. Could Samuels line up as a 2nd TE in a set? With Conner, Samuels, and Mcdonald on the field at the same time, Ben should have an easy safety valve if no one else is getting open.

And it's not like AB had two CB's lined up in front of him every play, alot of those so called double teams was safety help over the top, but the curls, in cuts, outs, come back routes he was basically single covered.

If other teams can dictate their best receiver being covered by one of our LBs, why can't we dictate that back at other teams? JuJu would win that matchup consistantly.

While he may have a tougher time getting open this season due to stronger coverage, there’s no reason to believe his production will falter in any way.

Yeah, maybe, but in the last game of the season, when Brown took off and Smith-Schuster was the #1 guy, he had 5 catches for 37 yards. Juju is definitely going to miss Brown on the other side. Just the facts.

That's was one game.

How about at the end of 2017 when AB was hurt with the calf early vs NE, JuJu in those games without AB had 21 catches-342 yards-2 TD's

And I think it is fair to say that the group that is in place now is stronger than the AB less group of that time span.

I really think the O can be less predictable now. In crunch time that could help make a difference. If those puzzle pieces are playing well.

cant believe we used a 2-4-5 vs Allen where either Vince or bostic or fort were matched vs. allen.
I really want to see 3-3-5 and 4-2-5 and 3-2-6 Marcus Allen is versatile enough to play S and LB same as Edmunds
