Over or under? Las Vegas win totals for the Steelers in 2019

I'm figuring on 9-7 and maybe a wild card. Injuries could swing that lower and no injuries to key players could make it a bit higher but I doubt if we're better than 10-6 in any case. I think I figured 9-7 last year but the tie messed me up. Our coaching has not improved and we have question marks at WR, OLB, ILB, and DB. I'm not sold on the Browns improvement yet.

You know predictions are just guesses and not football insight right?

I know you are slow but try to grasp the obvious pop on a booby.

I make you spitting drooling angry, but when you come at me do better.

hi.

I know you were not talking to me but I want to chime in

So in you best guess the 2019 Steeler team is 13-3?

Guessed should be based on reason. In the best case scenario with a reverse Murphy’s law where everything that should have gone went right this is a 12-4 team.

Vegas says 8.5.

There is an element of reason on everyone's picks. But in the end it is just guesses..

Your best case scenario is just that yours. The teams best case scenario is to win the SB, and have enough regular season wins to achieve that.

You went off the deep end with your Murphy's law assessment. But that is just you, As that law can be applied to all 32 teams.

Oh goody a Vegas line. Want to make some money? Bet the over.

Can/will our coaches make in-game adjustments? NO, too slow and stubborn.

Typical Tomlin quote at halftime after sluggish first half and asked about 2nd Half adjustments: "You know, its not really about anything they are doing, it's about us."

Exactly and I don't see us pulling off that many.

I'll give him credit when he wins something with his own players. They're all his now except for the QB who is, you know, probably the best player on the team.
Shades has a .500 playoff record which isn't much in that part of the season when you're one-and-done.

3 playoff wins in 8 years. 8 seasons out of 12 his team failed to win a single playoff game. History is one of the best predictors of the future.

I'm going with the over. I am thinking 9 or 10 wins this year. It will be a tough year as I think there won't be any push over teams. We could easily go .500 in our division. If we go above .500, we definitely should win the division.

The division doesn't look that tough. The rats can't throw and the bungles are the bungles. If you look at the teams there is no reason why the Steelers should not win the division. Who has the best QB? Who has the best OL? The clowns may not have lost all their games last year but they weren't some juggernaut. There is a lot of film on Mayfield to diagnose as well. Some teams have a few pieces but there isn't a complete team in the division unless Pittsburgh's defense gets a little better.

People have said that about the Rats the past several seasons and they somehow are always right there. Each year, they have had a ton of turnover on their D and they still end up being very good. The Bungles are up and down so who knows with them. The Clowns have the talent to win the division but, they are the Clowns. I'd still be shocked if they are worse than 8-8 this year. Too much talent for even the Clowns to screw up that bad. Injuries are and will always will play a factor.

Sept. 8 at New England Patriots 8:20 PM L We all know this is going to be an ***-kicking. Got our one win-per-decade versus them last December, so we're not due for at least another 7-8 seasons.

Sept. 15 Seattle Seahawks 1:00 PM L Loss. This game just wreaks of a performance where they come out over-confident and unfocused in classic Tomlin-esque fashion, hold a lead for 3 quarters, and then let R. Wilson **** all over them in the 4th.

Sept. 22 at San Francisco 49ers 4:25 PM W By the skin of their teeth against a pathetic niners team. Boswell hits a FG to ice a game in the final minute that was far too difficult for a team with "this much talent". It is at this point we start to see some real doozy meltdowns on this board, and the blind among us start to realize that this team isn't really as good as we all hoped they'd be....AGAIN.

Sept. 30 Cincinnati Bengals (Mon.) 8:15 PM L The Bengals embarrass Pittsburgh during primetime, Joe Mixon makes the defense his *******.

Oct. 6 Baltimore Ravens 1:00 PM W Yes, Lamar Jackson is that terrible. Ravens defense absolutely dominates the offense, but they keep turning it over. Steelers win, something to the tune of 16-10.

Oct. 13 at Los Angeles Chargers 8:20 PM NBC L Oh man, this is going to be ugly. Chargers barnstorm Pittsburgh, they win by 27.

BYE Heat is finally pouring on in on the coach, very testy exchange during PC with him and some of the beat writers during this bye week. Us fans actually have hope that his worthless *** will get canned sooner rather than later.

Oct. 28 Miami Dolphins (Mon.) 8:15 PM W I mean, the dolphins are just a joke. Finally, for the first time all season, the Steelers actually put together a complete performance.

Nov. 3 Indianapolis Colts 1:00 PM L The revamped offensive line of Indianapolis keeps Luck upright all afternoon and he makes the Steelers D pay dearly, to the tune of 450 yards and something like 4 TD's.

Nov. 10 Los Angeles Rams 4:25 PM W Surprisingly spirited effort from the defense, and sound game plan from Tom-...I mean, Butler. Ben has a big day, Steelers get a nice win on this day.

Nov. 14 at Cleveland Browns (Thurs.) 8:20 PM L Humiliating loss. Browns give us multiple chances to take the game and the Steelers keep pissing it away. Baker has a game-winning drive late in the 4th and we have another "meltdown night" here on the board.

Nov. 24 at Cincinnati Bengals 1:00 PM W We get some measure of revenge, but don't really look all that great doing it. Bengals play this game with a **** ton of injured players and still almost win.

Dec. 1 Cleveland Browns 4:25 PM L And there it is, folks. The ******* Browns sweep us and their control of the division is beyond reproach at this point. I throw up in my lap.

Dec. 8 at Arizona Cardinals 4:25 PM W The Cardinals are complete **** show, and it's looking like they made a nightmare of a decision in making Kyler Murray the #1 overall pick in the draft. Relatively easy win for Pittsburgh on the road.

Dec. 15 Buffalo Bills 1:00 PM W Game goes to overtime, and Steelers score a TD with the first possession of OT. And thank GOD for that, since they had a 21-pt lead at halftime, that unjustified overconfidence creeps back in to the fray the entire 2nd half.

Dec. 22 at New York Jets 1:00 PM L Bitter loss to a ho-hum Jets team. The only bright spot is that they sell out on run D to make sure that Bell doesn't embarrass them, they hold him to 40-50 yds rushing on 20-25 attempts with no scores, but Sam Darnold looks like Montana slicing up the Steeler pass defense all afternoon.

Dec. 29 at Baltimore Ravens 1:00 PM L Very lackluster effort in this game, since it's clear they're not going to the playoffs for the 2nd year in a row. Ravens hold a TOP of over 40 minutes for the game, while Pittsburgh's offense doesn't get more than 10 first downs entire game. Justin Tucker hits 6 fgs to go along with a qb sneak touchdown from Jackson and a defensive touchdown, and the team whimpers into the offseason.

Steelers finish the season a pathetically underwhelming 7-9, and Tomlin ballwashers like Ark can no longer hang their hats on the "no losing seasons" dogshit excuse. You can probably rinse and repeat for 2020

We had too much talent to be 9-6-1 last year too. I'll stick with my prediction of 8-8. How do I place a bet in Vegas?

I think that you can do futures at the Rivers but I may be wrong

Boy aren't you a ray of ******* sunshine. L o l at the clowns sweeping us. On a Steelers down year what did they manage one tie? When you are ready to place a bet let me know. Say an avatar bet that stays in effect from the end of season to the new calendar beginning of season. The bet is the Steelers won't finish worse than 9 and 7. I lose I sport an avatar of your choosing , and vice versa.

Over. Win the division. Everyone praises Tomlin and the Steeler org. Talk of coach of the year. Lose first game in playoffs. Tomlin keeps his job.

Only thing that would nullify it would be Ben having a season ending or end of season injury.

Does he then get an extention??????????

Omar's prediction is a case that could very well happen but I feel differently on several of the W/L choices. Why are so many here fearing the Browns??? They are just a football team who has signed several FAs and have several 1st round draft picks. Why have the Browns been privy to so many first round pick for so long?????????? They have to play their way up and one season that happens to be their best ever in a long time, yet still fired their coach mid season............. Hmmmmmmmmm.

Now you take a riddled season with inner "contempt" and failed ILB FAs. Take last year's team and compare it to this year's potential team and one has to see the STEELERS are way up-graded in several spots. Losing the meMEme twins are an addition by subtraction, TEAM play will prove that. 1st round pick (like him or not) is a definate up-grade and I'd think he will be starting day 1. The rest is self-explaination.

Here is hoping Omar is wrong and to us striking lighting to #7.

I'm always thinking 19-0 before the start of most seasons. I only accept the thought of losing after they actually lose a game.

Maybe they'll shock us with brilliant adaptive battle plans when plan A doesn't work. I hear gathering intel by dubious means can work wonders.

11-5 People will say that, even though they predicted 8-8 or 7-9, they really expected this record and, anyway, you can't give Tomlin credit, the players exceeded his coaching ability.

Don't worry, JUST before GAME 1, I'll put my annual thread out so everyone can make their final prediction knowing the team roster. Anything predicted here and now is just a craP SHOOT because so much can change in that time. As for giving Cool Shades credit, I think it was Burgundy who summed it up well......."let him win something first" (only going out of memory and it could be slightly or majorly different).

Yea, just like many on here predicted a SB run last year and the year before and the year before ETC... Yet here we are with 3 playoff wins in 8 years.

hey, as much as my predictions hurt the feelings of some of the other posters here, i sure hope i'm wrong, too. but i'm just being honest with how i feel the games will actually play out, that's all.

Was going to wait till at least 1 bnb preseason game but ....
12-4. We beat the Pat's. Beat ravens twice. Split with browns. Get to at least the AFC championship
