60 minute men

I still have a 60 min men tshirt I got from training camp 1 year...

man I bet all those guys would pay dues to a message board that they frequent as much as the OP. real men.

Nice find Boucher, what a time. Cowher, was he anything more than a cheerleader though?

Easy easy, Cowher found great assistants and he really knew how to push the buttons in his players.

**** I feel so old now.

Just now? Those dbags Supe & Ark never seem to leave you alone so I'm sure it's often you're let known.

Nice find! Loved the 60 minute men. I'm not sure our D has played full out for 60 minutes since LeBeau left and Tomlin took over the D. They have way too many mental lapses or "communication issues" that result in big plays for our opponent.

I dunno, LeBeau's D was slipping his last two years, or at least other teams were figuring out how to beat it and he didn't adapt.

Ray Sherman and Kevin Gilbride?

Can't recall if DL was here in 2002, but seems Brady and Gannon figured out the blueprint early that season as "spread 'em out, make 'em defend in space, and throw it 40-60X per game." I'm not sure if they've figured out how to stop it yet.

He was well into his 70's and his star players were aging, notably Troy Polamalu, Farrior, Ike, Porter, Aaron Smith, Gay, Hampton.

But we were #1, or close to it, many seasons since then. So...

Well, for the most part. Thinking about it with Tomlin, besides Arians, have there been any assistants of his who he's mentored into a HC gig?

LeBeau was slipping his last couple of years but the D has gotten a lot worse under Tomlin's coaching since. If they suck again this year, Butler will be the scapegoat but Tomlin has been calling plays and the strategy.

Please DO NOT FORGET - Ol' Rog changed the way the Steelers' played defense. That golden nugget happened since Coach Tomlin took over. We cannot compare the defense of 'day's of old' to now because the rules have changed the way we dominated teams under Coach Cowher and Coach Noll...

I think it took other teams a while to see what the Pats****** were doing and adapt their game.

No but in fairness not many of Shades' assistants have left either. Cowher changed coordinators like I change socks.

True but every year, or every week, SOMEONE is going to be the #1 defense and it ain't us.

True to some extent but they have had plenty of time to adapt. We all see how they are playing. We see 2 DL in way too often and we see LB's lined up outside on WR's, even the opponents No. 1 WR way too often. Those things haven't worked and won't work moving forward.

exactly, the league is geared towards the offense, no arguing that fact, but the rules don't state 1-your defense needs to be confused at the snap of the ball (something we see way to much) 2-you must use 2 DLinmen 80% of the snaps, even in short yardage situations (again something we see way to often) 3-you must use ILB's to cover wr's (again something we do way to often). Hell Tomlin admitted early last season that he was late getting the defensive signal in that resulted in Burns covering the wrong guy and ending up giving up a long play. So our head coach is calling the defense and he can't even get the play in on time, WTF?????

Fk. Imagine Ben on those teams.

Or Cowher on these teams we've had the last 10 years! With all that talent and a franchise QB,we'd have a couple more trophys in the case. I loved when Cowher said we play one game at a time the next 9 weeks. I wonder if Cool Shades would could adapt to such a notion?
