Maybe the Justin and the Mods can have an arrangement for non-contributors having a limit on starting threads. Say 5/ month. Traffic is necessary with this site model. But quantity threads shouldn’t trump quality threads.

Didn't it used to be you couldn't start a new thread without being a contributor? Something to think about.

I agree and have mentioned something similar in the past in regards to the infamous Coach.

Not a contributor then cannot start a new post.

I was one of the first members on this board, and was one of the first if not the first contributor on this board and did so until 2 or 3 years ago.(not sure exactly). I also have helped several people on this board by sending money or paying for their contributions. I am now in a position that I just can't contribute, I have not asked for anything or cried about my situation. even though I don't start a lot of threads it would ******* suck to have that privilage taken away.

That’s just it Warrior, you know it’s a privilege and you haven’t abused it. However, some have abused it to the extent not for starting meaningful board discussions, but rather for attention seeking rehashed diatribes.

Tell me how this guy is wrong, and I'll listen.

some disagreement on the web though

I saw your Wiki reference, which I trust as much as a fart after Taco Bell, so I decided to dig.

You wrote the lyrics to the Good Times theme. Have you seen the Chappelle's Show skit "I Know Black People"?

Both: No!

Chappelle played a quiz-show host, testing contestants' knowledge of black culture. The question that stumped them all involved a lyric from "Good Times," "hangin' in a chow line."

Marilyn: Well there's no such line!

Alan: It's "hanging out and jiving."

Marilyn: No, it's "hanging in and jiving." I have to look it up. Norman Lear asked us to write a theme for that show, as he did for...what else?

Because that is an overly sensitive attitude. Some guys are so quick to whine about any post that can be taken as attention seeking in any way. You get bent out of shape over it like it's some abhorrent crime.

All sports media hosts do is attentive seeking according to your mindset. If they aren't, they are done.

Basically, if any poster illustrates any vision and insight, you f-ing freak out like it's so evil and vile. Some are so over-the-top and overly sensitive that it's loco.

If everyone who posts was so milktoast and non-committal to having an opinion, the place would be more boring than watching paint dry, but it seems many of you prefer that.

bullshit. posters who really have vision and insight are more than welcome to share their thoughts. posters who have been shown to steal their "insight" from other sources and post here as own can go **** themselves

the last quote I posted said the first season box DVD had the lyrics down as "Hanging in a chow line" but the writers confirmed this was incorrect......

It has nothing to do with overly sensitive attitudes, it has all to do with lucid and cooperative conversation. If you make a statement, that’s an opinion. Your right to have it. The board allows it. But if you are disagreeing with another person’s opinion or statement based on your observation or opinion and without any substantive findings it’s no more valid than just disagreement. To constantly disagree on a statement without substantiation of facts as to why, it’s attention seeking.

Comparing this board to sports media hosts is ludicrous. They require sponsors, sponsors require viewership and hosts have a schtick to draw viewership to the sponsors.

I’m pretty sure Justin welcomes insight and vision in the topics, but unless those insight/visions have more than just personal opinions with some objective findings then expect disagreement.

Unless the attention seeker is contributing monetarily to the boards ability operate as it has successfully, then that individual isn’t a positive to the boards success, but rather a hindrance. It’s completely optional to be a contributor, no one is forcing anyone to do so. But if you do join the board and you are going to be a significant obstacle to having cooperative and meaningful discussion with others members and contributing members, then they should find another board. Don’t waste the boards time on attention seeking individuals who have need constant recognition. If you contribute, then by all means you have the privilege to seek validation to support the attention in want. Although it isn’t healthy.

Why the significant interest anyway? I’ve asked this before have you been banned from this board before?

Cooch also used the “boring as watching paint dry” comment. They must be channeling on the same brain waves

Justine pointed out that boobie's IP was same or very close as the notorious Pops, if you remember him. That's not to say Pops and coach aren't one in the same but their personalities seemed pretty far apart. I catch boobie playing up the cheatriots occasionally and that was definitely a Pops thing. My guess is the timing on Coach's departure vs the significance of boobies appearance. Either way how insignificant you must be to assume a different identity to be on a message board. (NOTE: not playing down this message board as it is the best there is).

My disappointment with with these guys is they don't even realize their self worth as by doing this it lowers it regardless of how sneaking they think they are getting away with something........... FUCKTARDS

Salute the nation

Just ignore him .... he will go away if he cannot get you guys to Fight with him .... You know he is only trying to get under your skin .... don't let him put him on ignore so you don't have to see his posts

I'm just now seeing the correlation.
Before I did my digging, I didn't know The Bergman's were the writers of the actual song.
I didn't know if you meant writers of the show ( Chappelle or Good Times ) or of the article, and the link you posted was just a generic lyric site.
Sorry, I wasn't trying to be dismissive or obtuse.

Pop and Coach are about as different as you can get.

Pop is a know it all, never wrong **** stirrer who is a Patriots fan.

Coach is a know it all, never wrong **** stirrer who is a Steelers fan.

BIG DIFFERENCE!!!

Rightfully said and the ONLY difference is I can cut Coach a little lee-ways as to his being a STEELERS fan. Pop on the other hand can continue being t*mmy b*y's muffin puffer.
