Vegas, Cleveland, KC host next 3 drafts

You must have a short memory. Last time Dallas hosted a SB was in 2011....during a ice storm.....with half a foot of it and snow..... making it a miserable experience for fans attending it. Speaking of the fans, Jerry trying to set an attendance record, ripped off 1200+ fans because of selling seats which were not up to city code.

Dallas will probably be waiting awhile for another SB. However, they will probably get the combine once it leaves Indianapolis next year.

I listed Dallas knowing there is a chance for winter weather. I also remember the infamous Thanksgiving day game when it snowed vs. Miami. (That was longer ago than 2011.)

That being noted, I still included Dallas as a SB site because...

A.) It has the nicest, largest stadium in the NFL.

B.) Dallas is a legit big town, not a little town trying to be a big town, ala J-ville, who couldn't house nearly all the people in town for the SB.

C.) Chances are the weather won't be snowy. Sure, as noted, it's not impossible for bad weather come Feb., but it's not likely it will be snowing.

And, trust me, Dallas will be hosting another SB sooner than later. Jones will see to it, and, it makes more sense than a lot of these other towns like Detroit, which is a dumpster fire of a city.

Thanksgiving Day game is entirely different than SB. I have acquaintances who have been to AT&T. Sure it is big...”a monstrosity”’to some, but the experience as a whole is what is looked for in a SB.

First off it’s in between Dallas and Ft Worth and the drive on I-30 is long enough for it to be a hassle getting to and from Arlington.

Let’s be serious it’s largest attendance was for a WWE event. The larger the venue doesn’t mean the better the product.

No snow? Arlington is like the SE Belt of the US. They don’t get snow, they get ice and Arlington/Dallas gets a lot a rainfall.

Dallas sucked as a Super Bowl location. The stadium is not good unless maybe you have premium seating. You are incredibly far away from the field and the environmental is sterile with the screen blocking half the stadium. It takes away from the atmosphere that you get at most other stadiums. The town of Dallas was pretty meh. I was disappointed with the lack of street energy and it was too spread out. The NFL Experience was in Dallas but the TV broadcasts were in Fort Worth (a very cool town that by no means could handle the massive crowds) and the game was in Arlington. I enjoyed my experience in Detroit a lot more than Dallas.

It doesn't matter where the stadium is in relation to Dallas: You only party at the stadium the night of the game. It's not like you have to make multiple trips to the stadium to have a good time.

Sheet, Jefro, a lot of people who went to the SB in J-ville stayed in Orlando - a 2.5 hour drive.

If you think Dallas gets some winter weather, try Detroit and MN! Guaranteed to freeze your nuts off.

Never been to AT&T, so I can't comment. I didn't really care for the city though - and the airport and roads are madness. I was with a longtime resident and she was constantly missing roads and getting all turned around.

As I mentioned in my post, they had things going on in three different locations that were quite far away from each other. No cohesiveness at all and an all-around bad Super Bowl location.

Hey dude, you were there. I'll take your word for it. Cohesiveness matters.

As 448 mentioned it does matter in relation to the total SB experience when everything is spread out.

Sure Detroit and St. Paul have big time winter weather. Thing is they have the preparedness and ability to act on it quickly because it’s routine for them.

As for folks staying in Orlando, it was probably because there is more to do in Orlando than JAX any day of the week.

I do strongly agree with you that I want no part of a cold weather city for the SB either. Detroit's setup was better than Dallas, but the freezing temps sucked as well. Give me San Diego (please build a new stadium), Arizona, New Orleans, Miami, and Tampa. I'm not into Vegas, but that has a chance to be an incredible Super Bowl location.

they stayed in orlando because there wasn't enough hotels for the amount of people that come in for a sb. that is the reason a a city like pitt won't get a sb the league learned valuable lesson. so for those that keep crying for the sb in pitt its not going to happen it would be a disaster just like jax

So you know Pittsburgh has been working on building the city up to be able to house enough to host a SB. So might not be the disaster a few perceive....

The market analysis the NFL league offices performed several years ago for Pittsburgh to host a SB (requested by Dan Rooney) denoted the two significant obstacles. A) Hotels per capita of SB patrons. B) Vehicle traffic infrastructure. Unfortunately, those are obstacles corporate sponsors tend to shy away from.

I’ve heard there has been a increase in hotel construction these past couple years, but don’t know if it includes the downtown or strip area.

As for traffic getting to in and around Heinz Field/PNC Park......man they have a long way to go, there always seems to be some major project going on to cause traffic nightmares.

IMO I don’t think Pitt could host one.....not sure why you would have one in a cold weather city without a dome either.

Downtown from what I have seen. Not sure what they will do traffic wise either.
