Sources: The #Raiders are signing free agent guard Richie Incognito to a 1-year deal. He’s back in the league after a hiatus, having last played for the #Bills in 2017

Mark Davis trying for a push to solidify Raiders on Hard Knocks. Raider Nation don’t care about “locker room culture”...

Maybe they brought him in to "take" the eye off little chest..................................

Really surprised at this signing. Mayock really expressed his disgust for what happened in Miami with Incognito. Had some predictable commentary regarding Incognito’s action. He understood locker room histrionics since he was a part of it for Boston College, and for a bit when he was in the league a couple years with the Giants.

Amazing how things change when you become the boss and NEED performance. Pressure mounts and I think our very own coach just went through a "pressure mounting" situation. I think somethings said behind closed doors has CMVLT a little worried and I truely hope that is the case.

Either way, never say never in Mike's case, either one.

When he's not all hopped up on juice or drunk, he's actually an OK guy (at least he sounds like it). But in this vid, he's a raging a hole. POS.

Someone should have hit him in the back of the head with a pool cue. No.....the face. Perfect Raiders. Keep 'em coming.

At least they are gonna be entertaining.

Unfortunately, I wouldn't doubt if Tomlin's job is even more secure than Gruden's...and the dumb *** Raiders still owe him like 90 million

I don't think so. Gruden's $ is guaranteed right? Raiders aren't gonna eat $80 million (which is what would be left after this season, or 70 after next).

And word is (coming from former players there) that Chuckie runs a tight ship. Their results sucked last year but it was not from a lack of preparation or accountability or bad coaching, unlike with our Cool Shaded buffoon.

Dude is a ticking time bomb

Gruden's contract was ridiculous, but he was brought in for more than just his coaching ability (perceived or otherwise). Raiders had to keep rears in seats before leaving Oakland and attracting seat holders in Vegas. Gruden brought public recognition to help in that. I'm not saying he is a token coach..I am saying they brought in a well liked veteran over some young gun - I believe the move played a role in that decision. Getting Mr. Big Chest certainly will help keep revenue flowing with a few jersey sales I would think. But Richie Incognito? Terrible move imho. Smells more of Gruden than Mayok though. Gruden, like many HC's in the NFL, believes he can control whatever baggage comes with the turd.

I'd have to think about it, but I don't recall Gruden being known for bringing in turds, although I agree this move was probably his. I think Chucky calls most of the shots, and Maylok is more of the researcher and informs him of options gives his 2 cents, but Chuckie makes the final call. When I think of ruden, I think of his love for adding veterans, especially QBs. Actually the Incognito move is classic Raider, more than classic Gruden.

I was actually thinking of Pat Kirwin and Jim MIller on NFL Radio a few months back...they were talking about HC egos and brought up Gruden specifically as a guy who believes in Offense more than Defense (a reference to the Mack situation) and that he (like all NFL coaches) believe they can control or handle any player. If Gruden feels he needs OL, I think he would go get it even if it means a guy like this. That said, Mayoc does seem like a Billy Beane kinda thinker.

Ironic that Gruden's lone ring was won with D, way more than O. He won it with one of the worst QBs (Brad Johnson) to have ever won a SB. Not surprisingly, he 95% inherited that team, and each year he got further away from the team he was handed, it was all downhill from there. After his 12-4, SB winning 2002, his next 2 years they went 7-9, 5-11. That would give me great pause as a Raider fan. He did have some solid years as Raider HC though.

The D in TB included such studs as Sapp, Brooks, Barber, Lynch, McFarland, etc. That's how he won his ring.

Not to mention he was given the greatest gift possible... (aside from Ernie Adams...) The Raiders were still using HIS offense when he faced them in the SB.

Talk about an advantage...the Bucs D knew where the ball was going every bit as much as the Raiders' O did. They were just waiting for those passes, and, by the way, Cool Shades takes credit for that game and all the pics and pic 6's.

I forgot the Raiders had already added Burfict....and I forgot about Cognito's funeral home implosion, where he was knocking caskets around, asked for his dad's head to be cut off and went out to his truck to get guns....

IIRC, the reason his predecessor (and builder of that Defense) had a ****** offense. Gruden was brought in to try to wake up the offense. I always thought he was overrated.

Link please about Tomlin saying he took credit....

No where close to the degree of poor sportsmanship that Ernie has given Belichick. If Tags or Rozelle we’re the commissioner NE would have become the modern day equivalent of the Chi Black Sox.

I believe it was in the video of "America's Game" on the 2008 Steelers. Players were saying how Cool Shades was bragging about the 2002 Bucs in the SB, where they had 5 picks and 3 were pic 6's. It was included in the coverage where they were commenting on Harrison's pic 6. If you want to see it, that's where you'll find it.

Bragging for the players making those plays or that he took credit for the INTs?

Again, link that Tomlin actually took credit...
