Not going to lie I haven’t watch him at all these past couple years but know he was drafted to play safety and moved to LB with the Rams. Could he switch back over to safety and would he be a better option than what we have now? Especially with Devin the potential starter at ILB.

I cannot see it. He hasn't played there in years. He's put on about 20 pounds of weight. I think it's ILB or bust.

They are obsessed with finding a S/LB hybrid. Apparently they can't rest until they find players who can't cover well AND get run over by guards in the middle on rushing plays. Devin will put an end to
that nonsense. They won't be able to keep him off the field, he will prove too productive.

I think Barron takes over for Williams on passing downs , and money backer in dimes. One can hope! Seeing how bush will now be calling the plays an audibles

Hell NO! Our biggest need, by far, is/was at ILB. We brought him here to play ILB. He is easily one of our top 3 ILB's and, if he plays well against the run, he will be a 3 down starter next to Bush with Vinnie spelling him on early downs throughout the game.

The hybrid S/ILB came more out of necessity than a need for it. If we still had Shazier, the hybrid would have never come about.

I don't care what specific position he plays. Have an impact on the opposition and win football games. This defense needs to be able to win situational football.

Yes, this, if he can keep Williams off the field on passing downs, great! We've added speed to this defense, that's what we needed to do. Bush, Barron, Edmunds are all very fast and quick, they should all be in the middle of our defense on passing downs, that's a big plus.

You are forgetting to factor in our head coach and "HIS" fingers on the defense. This hybrid player is a part of his system. Shazier was morphing into the hybrid player we currently seek.
