Absolutely...if he's used properly.
 
If Tomlin hasn't learned his lesson by now he never will. I hope to see Snell, Conner and Samuels getting touches. Conner earned the right to lead the pack last year, but a young group of RBs like this will feed off each other. I hope the egos left with the toxic twins and that these young guys can buy into a team first attitude.
Barring any serious injury this is what I hope the stat lines resemble at the end of a successful season
Conner 1080 yds rushing 250 rec yds 10 TDS Samuels 150 yds rushing 300 rec yards 2 TDS Snell 450 yds rushing 6 TDS
Balanced attack with decent yd/attempt and fresh legs for the playoff run
 
Absolutely. He's going to be a fixture for a long time IMO.

I think the odds are he will. We don't know how the cookie will crumble, but even if Conner stays in one piece, Benny's production will get him touches. He's exactly what we needed.
 
No worries, all 3 RBs should do very well behind that O-line, Rosie, and the new 6´8´´ BFG.
 
Meh, maybe. He'll have a role but Conner is the man. He has earned it. You guys act like Conner has sucked. He played as well, if not better than Bell in the games they used him. He runs, catches and blocks. He is a complete back. He is No. 1 for the foreseeable future.
 
Conner's job to lose. Don't sleep on Jaysam. And I see Snell a bigger factor year two. But it is good depth was addressed.

No doubt. Jaysam showed he was more than competent as the backup if Conner went down or to spell Conner. I like our potential 3 headed monster there.
 
We need the OC to utilize all three. Yes Conner 1st, J-sam 2nd,n Snell 3rd but use them in the right way and we go from #31 to top 12 in rushing. All this with JUST a balanced attach.

He did it with Fast Willie, Mendenhall and Dumb Bell so watch out for Connor.
I would hope he uses the three back system but wouldn’t count on it.

With the team's front office stating that an extension for the head coach is currently not a priority topic -- hopefully he is getting the message that he better start evolving and taking responsibility for team culture and discipline. Continuing to do the same thing, especially something that has bitten us in the *** time and time again leading into the playoffs with feature RB injured or worn down. They need to develop some balance now that AB is gone. I want Tomlin to step back and let the coordinators do their job. He has enough issues to work on of his own like clock management and challenges. New coaching additions may assist with this. God knows it has been so poor in the past that the only direction it should be able to go is up.

Conner gave us 31st in the league rushing offense, had 3 games under 30 yards, led the league in fumbles, and got hurt for the second year in a row, injury prone in college, 2/2 seasons hurt in the nfl. (FACTS NOT OPINION)
I see Snell taking his job by week 11-13 when the Steelers are mathematically eliminated from the playoffs, or whenever Conner gets hurt?
 
The one position rookies seem to be able to make an immediate impact in the NFL is at running back. Running with the football does not take the coaching necessary to play most of the other positions since it is mostly instincts once the ball is in your hands. Barkley is a great example. Even behind a very average O line, he was fantastic. In our backfield, I think Samuel will be used a little differently this year and will be used more as a receiver especially since our TE depth is very thin.

sorry, but this idea that Conner is somehow better than Leveon Bell is complete fiction. He's a nice story, but Benny Snell will be taking his job soon enough.
 
QB coach, add in J-Sam's TE experience in college and you've hit the nail on the head. Motion him out of a two back backfield and see what the "D" craps. We needed Benny Snell and I think this "O" got better not worse with the departures of the meMEme twins.
