We got a closer

Conners averaged more yards per carry than Bell.
Much better numbers in terms of 20+ yard carries.
Number of TDs isn't even close...
Conners averaged more per reception than Bell.
This is part of why the Steelers passing numbers were up and their rushing attempts were down.
What it DOES tell you is that had Bell been playing last year, their rushing yards per game and their team ranking would have been worse.

Spin THAT as you will.

Bell had less fumbles than Conner, More scrimmage yards per game throughout his entire career.
The James Conner led Steelers were ranked 31'st in rushing
But keep telling yourself lies.

Probably because the Steelers led the league in passing and were #2 in % of passing plays at %67+.. Conner is a damn good back, imho. He got gassed towards the end of some games and needs a little help.

I hope so. I enjoyed the days where we pretty much could run it down opposing defenses throats in the 4th and there was nothing they could do about it.
me too, but by the fourth quarter the other guys were tired of tackling Jerome and company. We had already worn them down. We won't get there running 15 times a game.

Well, first of all, this is the very definition of "SPIN". There is nothing in the world that could tell you that.

Benny Snell = LaGarrett Blount when it comes to running style. I like it!!!

I was looking at him this morning. And I was thinking he wasn't the shape Bell was in in his second season.

And thought well why can't he tone up and become a step quicker?

I wouldn't rule that out in year 2. And perhaps addressing it in camp a little too.............

Keep in mind that Conner was supposed to be the backup. Instead, because the folks in charge tried to call Bell's bluff, Conner had to start, and instead of having a quality backup, we had Stevan Ridley, he of 29 carries for 80 yards, and 2 fumbles. No wonder Conner got gassed. If they had washed their hands of Bell, they would have gotten a backup that was capable of actually filling in once in a while.

SAME ******* reasoning that you don't think we can win our division................. it's an opinion and HIS is a dang good option with Snell, your's is just troll opinion.

Salute the nation

lol, man you have issues.........

we were 4-1 in our division last year with a middle of the road D (for scoring). Missed the playoffs by one game. The idea that we just have no ability to win the division next year is ridiculous.

This was lost on the Nation as to why we will love Snell. He could close out games with 4 minutes left. Never giving the ball back to the opponent.

Bell could NEVER and NEVER CLOSED GAMES. Running the clock out with a lead. I NEVER REMEMBER HIM DOING SO. Conner has yet to do it, and while our defense gave up leads in the 4th we had the opportunity to close out those games running the ball as timeouts and time elapsed.

Benny Snell is our closer. You heard it here first

You forget the @Tennessee game where Bell closed that game out? Or maybe when Bell was a rookie v the Rats and he closed that one out too before a Suisham FG.
