Might be some names you forgot about. You can also check back and see how many drafted Steelers were on the list.

hmm. those "met at pro day" and "had a private workout" are interesting.

Nick Brossette didnt really get any PT until his senior season, as he was behind Fornette and Guice on the depth chart at LSU
N'Keal Harry ... Combine and private workout. That shows some serious interest
Mike Edwards ... seems like we already have this guy on roster

well, just a quick look at those te's, only one would be a receiving threat..............josh oliver.
if one of the others is drafted, im not too excited that our receiving te behind mcdonald would be grimble:poop:

Thanks Slash. Interesting that Hakeem Butler isn't on the long list of WR's.

Each year varies but they have drafted off of these lists. And at times less than 50%.....

When you trade up specifically for one guy, there's no doubt that's exactly what they were after. Crazy about the trade up rumors into the top 10 by Schefter mid-day. The draft was humming along and here we come at pick 10 trading up for our guy. I'm not sure which team they had pegged to take Bush in front of us at 1.20 but they knew he wouldn't be there or that someone else would jump the line.

One thing I can openly criticize our FO for is sitting back and waiting for our guy. We've been draft pick jumped a few times before, most notably for Revis and it just doesn't make sense to sit back if you have a sure thing you can go get like this. Obviously (My Tomlinisms are on point today), having the extra 3rd round pick played into this decision for both this year and giving up next year's 3rd with the Bell comp pick pending.

I was hoping for Ed Oliver, tbh (only guy in this class I know anything about--thanks, Coolie). Everyone has great things to say about Bush, though, and the Steelers generally do well when they trade up. They had talked about trying to trade up for DeCastro before he fell to us.

I looked over this forecast for the 2nd and 3rd rounds:

http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap30...day-2-mock-pats-nab-will-grier-in-third-round

From selection 52 through 66, the only players that interested me are Hakeem Butler and (to a lesser extent) Miles Boykin.

Then at pick 66, the Steelers have a shot at Taylor Rapp (my choice), Julian Love, J.J. Arcega-Whiteside. The projection has the Steelers getting Riley Ridley with pick 83.

The players I like in round 2 - Winovich, Murphy, Williams, Thornhill - are all gone before 52.

In other words, the Steelers did not give up Winovich, Murphy, Williams, or Thornhill in the Bush deal; they gave up a complementary WR like Butler or Boykin.

Rapp would have to be medically cleared as there is a report now onhim having a hip flexor.

Did not know that. Thx.

Too bad. Very active, hits like a truck, good production. Somebody is going to roll the dice with him and get a very good player.

His agent is denying it. So I guess that would just be a matter of Dr's clearing him.
