there are plenty of competitors in the nfl and they still choose to play for the lions, browns, raiders, bucs, jets etc etc etc

bottom line is you do whats best for you, your family and bank account.

I can't and won't speak for other players but I know Ben Roethlisberger is a competitor. I think Tomlin one time commented that he's almost sick about competing. I'd say it's pretty cut-and-dry.

Just about every team in the league would pay handsomely for Bens service for a couple years. That should tell you it aint about money. His bank account is not hurting.
