I have to give credit where it's due, dude is playing lights out this year. As good as Peterson's year was a few years ago, Murray's is even better. Through 8 games, 1054 yards, 5.1 avg, 7 TD's. 8 straight games to start the season over 100 yards. Averaging 131 yards per game. Already has 206 carries on the season, will he hold up? I hope so, I'd like to see how he fairs the rest of the year with the start he's had. Absolutely incredible.

If we had the OL line dallas does,errr..well unless of course you're jailbreak blitzing them like the Redskins did(take note Steelers defense)..Bell would have just as many yards and then some.

Murray looks great but he's already fumbled 5 times.

I prefer Bell anyway.

They're riding him till the wheels come off. He is doing spectacular. Could set a new record possibly. Just a bit of caution though, I forget the exact number, but I think it's near 364-380 carries in one season is the break point. After a back is used / carries that many times in a season, his future is down hill from there. It's like he wears out, drops off hugely in production. Doesn't ever get it going again as in before. A season or two / three, the fall of the planet, football wise.

If they had ran him more in O.T. they may have won or at least tied the game. Guy is break off a 7 YPC average so what does Dallas do on their last series?

1st down- Murray 8 yard run
2nd down- Murray -1 yard pass
3rd down- Incomplete pass Whitten
4th down- Incomplete pass Dez.

Remember this is 3rd and 4th down with 3 yards to go and they throw the ball with a hurt Romo rather than run a guy that is averaging over 7 yards a carry. The Redskins never stopped Murray but the Cowboys sure did. Stupid play calls.

From what I have seen, he runs through gaping holes on almost all his great runs. Bell creates his own running room. They also run Murray 30 times a game. Bell does more with less. **** DALLAS..

They are going to run him into the ground with all his carries.

He is averaging less than 26 carries a game and only had 19 last night.

I agree, still amazing what he has done to start the season. No one has ever done that (8 straight over 100 games).

Very dumb indeed.

I figured I'd get a bunch of **** Dallas type comments, and I could care less about Dallas, their record, Romo, etc. Murray is on a tare, and deserves the recognition.

Murray and Dez Bryant are free agents after this year. The Cowboys are screwed. I like it!!

I've hated Dallas since the 70s. However I can appreciate talent when I see it. Reminds me of the Bell vs. Lacy arguments on here. One doesn't have to suck for the other one to be good. They can both be good players. I liked Bell better but that doesn't mean Lacy is horrible. Murray is a good back. Nobody is saying he is the next Jim Brown. I think people let the individual teams cloud their judgment of the players.

Bingo! We'd be quite happy with Lacy, and GB would be happy with Bell. Sometimes, even when you make the wrong choice, you come out ok. The Houston Rockets passed on Michael Jordan when he came out. Was it a mistake, of course. However, the guy they picked over him, Olajuwon, turned out to be a superstar that led them to 2 titles, so I doubt they're dwelling on it too much, nor are the Bills for taking Jim Kelly over Dan Marino, even though most consider Marino to be the better QB. Hell, Ben's a better qb than the 2 guys picked above him, but both of those guys have done pretty well.

I heard 30 on TV a couple weeks ago. My bad for not checking. The rest still holds true for me though.

They've since limited his carries a bit. But he's still churning out 100 yard games. Monday night's game tho, he should have got another 5-6 carries in overtime.

He's never had over 31 rushes in any game this year. So his average was never 30. He's actually averaged more carries the past 4 weeks than his first 4 weeks. He averaged 24.5 carries his first 4 weeks and 26.8 carries his last 4 weeks. But has never come close to averaging 30.

Talking heads, must have rounded up the numbers..

That's Karma right there. Maybe we could boil them first?
I'm not allowed to give you Karma again which sucks, why should karma be limited like that? A good poster is likely to earn Karma more often than a poor one.

I have no doubt they did. I don't watch a lot of talking heads. I usually watch the Steelers web casts and maybe a few national shows. I never take their stats for real because they are usually trying to prove a point rather than give accurate information.

The thing that is impressing me the most is that he isn't breaking off lots of LONG runs to inflate his numbers. His two longest runs of the season are 51 and 44, everything else is under 28 yards. He's getting consistent yards with his carries. His one issue is fumbles, five fumbles this year, he's lost them all.
