I think he is more of a 2/3rd round pick. On the Steelers radar though..

from every where I have seen a rnd 2- early rnd 3, would be a great pick in rnd 2

That means they will trade up to get him in the 1st.

I thought we heard it hear 1st. Tightend

I have heard of him being a 2nd round guy, and saw one site that indicated the Cowboys apparently really like the guy but don't have a pick until 58.

trade out of rnd 1 and acquire more picks then see if Murphy falls past 23 and trade back up if not then in rnd 2 takeS/LB Johnon CB Baker/Murphy rnd 3 WR Campbell/Butler rnd 3 DE/LB Winovich rnd 4 TE rnd 4 via trade down CB rnd 5 LB Hollins rnd 6 RB Higdon rnd 6 NT Huggins rnd 7 P Bailey

Some of you here actually think they can just trade on a whim, up or down and get what they want. First off, you need a trade partner to trade. The odds are stacked against you and yes you definately can if you are willing to receive lesser value. I bet the STEELERS stick at their 1.20 spot. I hope the BPA is available when it's their turn to sprint to the podium.

I could see them trading up in 2 this year or even pull the trigger on trading up in 1 if it feasible. As you mentioned you have to have a partner willing to trade reasonably. I know it doesn't make sense to draft 10 players. This team isn't rebuilding, it is more in a win now mode.

Not only can you trade up or down on a whim, but, if you trade down, you are guaranteed that the person you are targeting is still there.

noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Exactly. My honest thoughts are we have 10 picks with two 3rds and three 6st round picks. Do we really have 10 spots on the roster? No. So I would either use a few to move up early to get some better quality picks OR try to trade some 2019 picks for some much higher 2020 picks.

How has the trading worked out lately?

I see them doing the same thing. I don't see us picking 10 players. I see us using extra picks to move up to grab a couple of top players we like in rounds one two and/or three. Love the Abrams kid from Mississippi, Campbell from OSU and Miles Sanders from PSU. I think he will be the steal of the draft for whoever takes him. Not one corner rated head and shoulders above the rest. We also need defensive line depth. McCullers doesn't impress me one bit.
